I'm a huge Niner fan, and because of that I tend to shy away from them on Draft Day (like my A's in baseball)

Of course, getting Frank Gore in the fifth round last season was awesome, but with his hand issues and Michael Robinson taking the Mike Alstott "All I get are TD handoffs" role, the Gorester is probably not going to be the fantasy stud he was in 2006.
Nice to meet a follow 9er fan / hopeless romantic :). I actually took Gore in the second round last season, just to make sure, and I think he was one of the best producers on my team. I agree that he won't be as strong as last year, but he'd make a good second or third I think. Plus, now everyone knows about him, so he'll probably go fairly early.

Should I move ahead with 8 teams? 10 or 12 is better in my opinion, but 8 is kind of the lowest you can get away with...

Also, what works best as a draft time for folks? We have people all over the country, so we need to be cognizant of time zones.... for me, the options are:

Saturdays/Sundays, between 10am PDT and 5pm PDT
Weekdays after 7pm PDT

That makes weekday slots real late for east coasters... please give your thoughts!

I think the weekend would be the best way to go. 7pm in California would be 10pm in New York and that is a little to late.

That Flea Flicker site does look cool.

I'm about equally available on weekdays as on weeknights, depending on the date. Also, even with a live draft, they'll have auto selections for anyone who can't make that specific draft time.

I am on the east coast and I can handle a late start here cuz I don't usually go to bed til 1 or 2am, so I am fine with a late draft, but I would probably be able to make any draft so anytime is good for me!

Please ONLY sign up if you are on the list I previously specified... those of you with spouses involved, please make sure they sign up too. If we get more interest, I can up the number of allowed teams.

Draft is set for Sunday, 8/19 @ 10:30am PDT (1:30pm EDT)... PLEASE let me know if this won't work for you. If it works for all but one of us, I will keep it, but will try to accommodate two or more inconveniences. If you cannot attend the live draft, please be sure you have ranked your players ahead of time, as the Fleaflicker software will draft for you.

Good luck to all!

I am signed up in the Disneyland division (Soarin' over California Flyboys).

Well the draft time might not work for me, but I will have to get back to you on that one.

I can't get Flea Flicker to load, now. I had the same problem with the site the other day.

netslave (my husband) and I won't be able to make the live draft that early on Sunday, because we'll still be at church.

I'd say if you shoot for time that puts the draft starting after 4 EDT on Sunday that will work for me because I found out today that I only have to work in the morning so an evening draft would be the best for me as well.
