I also only had three wisdom teeth and all three were impacted. I had them out about 12 years ago! Twighlight sleep via IV sedation. I woke up before they were done but I didn't feel a thing. I heard a tooth crack though as they were getting out the last one. I had no pain at all after the surgery but I sure did get black and blue in the face! We went to a hockey game the next day and everyone thought I got hit with a puck!
I was so hungry after I had my teeth out and sick of soup broth that I ate a McDonald's chicken sandwich with my front teeth!

I had the syringes, but I still got the dry sockets. I'm sure everyone reacts differently, so don't be scared Len90! My DH had them out and he was eating that sameday. I think mine was just an extreme case!

I got all four of mine out a couple years ago. I really didn't have a problem with it and once the anesthesia wore off, I was fine. By the next day, I was at work and I was so sick of mushy foods that I stopped at Zaxby's. I really didn't think it was a bad experience - it was uncomfortable at most.

I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth extracted at once. Overall, the experience was not as bad as I anticipated. The worst part of the ordeal was inserting the IV in my hand. After that, I don't remember a thing until 5 minutes before the procedure was over. I woke up to hear drilling and feel fingers digging around in my mouth. Since my mouth was numb, I couldn't speak or feel anything around there which was awful. After a few hours, that wore off and the pain was minimal. I was ready to eat that evening. I did not have to take one pain killer. I think I was 17 at the time and was back to my normal activities the next day.

Did anybody notice that those dissolvable stitches tasted terrible or was it me??

mine weren't dissoluble. I had to go back after about 2 weeks to have them taken out. that was actually somewhat painful, as the wound(s) started to heal around the stitches.

Had my wisdom teeth out when I was 16. It wasn't a bad experience, for me. I felt a little woozy for the rest of the day, but was fine the next. My stitches were the ones that had ro be removed, but that didn't bother me either. Overall, not a horrific experience.
