I went with the Elite, very happy with it. That HDMI hookup looks amaaaazing on my TV.danimal3114u wrote:I think I'm probably going to go for the elite from Costco actually, as it's a great price and comes with the stuff I want and nothing I don't want, so that's good (and my wife would never let me have the Halo one in our living room, way too much camo).

Excellent. We have a nice HDtv, and thus far it's just been XBOX, PS2 and Wii that I've played on it. I can't wait to see what the 360 puts out. Does anyone here have the HD DVD hookup or can comment on how that works with the 360?spaulo wrote:I went with the Elite, very happy with it. Component is good and all, don't get me wrong... but there is nothing like NCAA 08 on a 61" set in glorious, fully-digital 1080pBuDz211 wrote:Oh man, I bet it does. I use the regular red-blue-green HDTV wires for my xbox and it looks pretty good. I would love to see HDMI though. Would love to play Dead Rising on that.spaulo wrote: I went with the Elite, very happy with it. That HDMI hookup looks amaaaazing on my TV.

Hey everyone, just got my 360 yesterday! My gamertag is Dang Lad. I'm working on adding everyone that's posted in the forum, so hopefully we can get in a game next time we're all on. Looking forward to seeing you in Halo!
EDIT: So even though i said I wouldn't get the Halo 3 SE console, I ended up getting it anyway. You can't turn down Costco's deals when you're in store! I also have it set up with HDMI and it looks great!

Yeah everyone is playing Halo 3 these days, it is fun, i'm not that good at it yet, but i guess i just need more practice.... I also really enjoy Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, i also have Rainbow Six Vegas, but have only played in online once because there was a lot of lag, and glitches, i'm assuming that the host was to blame for it, so i'll have to try it again sometime sooner or later, but as for right now i've been playing mostly just Halo 3 and GRAW 2 (both excellent online by the way in case anyone was wondering).

I haven't had any problems with my 360. I did have an issue with my original XBOX. Honestly, the fail numbers are probably in about .25 out of 100. It seems like a ton because there are so many machines out there and people only post online when something goes wrong. Also, from what I've read Microsoft has really upped their service and done a good job replacing the units when they fail.
They will all fail. You have just been lucky. You'll see the red ring of death soon enough. The only reason they are getting back to people sooner is they are sending out refurbs. So you won't even get yuor own back.danimal3114u wrote:I haven't had any problems with my 360. I did have an issue with my original XBOX. This sounds like something that should be chiseled on the wall in the Indiana Jones Adventure queue linemetsofny wrote:They will all fail. You have just been lucky.
