I went with the Elite, very happy with it. That HDMI hookup looks amaaaazing on my TV.

Excellent. We have a nice HDtv, and thus far it's just been XBOX, PS2 and Wii that I've played on it. I can't wait to see what the 360 puts out. Does anyone here have the HD DVD hookup or can comment on how that works with the 360?

Oh man, I bet it does. I use the regular red-blue-green HDTV wires for my xbox and it looks pretty good. I would love to see HDMI though. Would love to play Dead Rising on that.

Started playing Halo 3, and all of the hype is well deserved. If you are still thinking about having a subsonic team i'd be down. I just signed up for xbox live, my gamertag is tomsey04

Component is good and all, don't get me wrong... but there is nothing like NCAA 08 on a 61" set in glorious, fully-digital 1080p

Hey everyone, just got my 360 yesterday! My gamertag is Dang Lad. I'm working on adding everyone that's posted in the forum, so hopefully we can get in a game next time we're all on. Looking forward to seeing you in Halo!

EDIT: So even though i said I wouldn't get the Halo 3 SE console, I ended up getting it anyway. You can't turn down Costco's deals when you're in store! I also have it set up with HDMI and it looks great!

Yeah everyone is playing Halo 3 these days, it is fun, i'm not that good at it yet, but i guess i just need more practice.... I also really enjoy Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, i also have Rainbow Six Vegas, but have only played in online once because there was a lot of lag, and glitches, i'm assuming that the host was to blame for it, so i'll have to try it again sometime sooner or later, but as for right now i've been playing mostly just Halo 3 and GRAW 2 (both excellent online by the way in case anyone was wondering).

Working for UPS I pick these things up all the time. I can't believe microsoft created a product that breaks all the time. People are up to their third time sending it back. Come on PS3 people!!!!!!!!!!

I'm old fashioned with my original Xbox but my stepdad has a 360 so I could always bug him to play it when he's at work.

So some of you have had problems with your Xbox 360? All I've really heard is that they have to be sent back to the factory for repairs. Its keep me from really looking into them, I've heard such bad things from so many.

I haven't had any problems with my 360. I did have an issue with my original XBOX. Honestly, the fail numbers are probably in about .25 out of 100. It seems like a ton because there are so many machines out there and people only post online when something goes wrong. Also, from what I've read Microsoft has really upped their service and done a good job replacing the units when they fail.

Yeah, I haven't had any problems with the 360, either...and I have two of them. I agree with danimal that the whole thing has been blown out of proportion.

They will all fail. You have just been lucky. You'll see the red ring of death soon enough. The only reason they are getting back to people sooner is they are sending out refurbs. So you won't even get yuor own back.

This sounds like something that should be chiseled on the wall in the Indiana Jones Adventure queue line
