great news for everyone who likes/reads the Harry Potter books...
J K Rowling has announced that the new book -
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - has been completed and submitted to the various English Language Publishers around the world. Official release date for the book is to be released sometime today (December 21, 2004) by the publishers...
My guess is the the release date will be much like last year's - June release.

Artwork pending I see. I prefered the earlier ones over the newer ones, seems like once they really got big they started to loose a little of the touch... Trying too hard to make bestsellers now rather than just write for the sake of telling a story it seemed. Still, nice to know another is on the way.

that and how long could the story line go. it has to be hard to keep up the plot and figure now that we have an idea of what the characters should look like how old will they be by the time the book is done? 35?

Hmm I wonder what the next book will be called "Harry Potter and the hurryup to make sure the 7th book is done in time for the movie tie in" I have heard their will be 7 books in total of the series and I agree that the series has gotten a bit too weird with Order of the Phoenix.

yes, 7 books in total.
book 6 is alot shorter than book 5 (according to JKR, the size is between books 3 and 4).
yes, artwork is pending on that cover. will be completed once again by Mary GrandPre'
As far as best sellers go... Book 6 is already a best seller on preorders alone. and only after one day of preorders at places like Amazon, Barnes and Nobles, and Media Play...
I'm going to pre-order my copy this weekend...

Hehe, I enjoy the books, but not enough to have that. I like the colors schemes on the covers.
