He looks like Mickey Mouse and sounds like Mickey Mouse, but what he's saying is hardly the fairytale stuff of Disney.
A Mickey Mouse look-alike named Farfur is teaching Palestinian children the ABCs of terror on Hamas' official television station, Al-Aqsa TV.
On the weekly program "Tomorrow's Pioneers," Farfur and a young girl name Saraa' tell children to pray five times each day and drink their milk, while urging the children to "resist" the "oppressive invading Zionist occupation."
“Instead of being entertained, they’re being indoctrinated,” Itamar Marcus, the director of Palestinian Media
Marcus says that "resist" is a Palestinian euphemism for terror.
"Their message is of hatred toward Jews, hatred toward Israel, hatred to America as well," Marcus said. "They make fun of Condoleezza Rice, they make fun of Bush."
Excerpts from episodes that aired last month show the squeaky voiced mouse egging on children with nationalistic fervor.
"We, tomorrow’s pioneers, will restore to this nation its glory, and we will liberate Al-Aqsa, with Allah’s will, and we will liberate Iraq, with Allah’s will, and we will liberate the Muslim countries, invaded by murderers,” Farfur says in one episode that aired in April.
The message seems to be working. Poems and songs submitted by young viewers contain violent imagery. "Rafah sings ‘Oh, oh,’" one caller says as Farfur mimes carrying a rifle. "Its answer is an AK-47."

ok... so um I saw this clip on the Daily Show last night and was like OMG... Walt must be rolling over in his grave right now knowing that his beloved icon has now been turned into something of a hatred symbol in another country. They showed the clip and I can understand why they'd use Mickey I mean because he's a world wide children's icon... but come on! To promote racism and intollerance? Copyright infringement at it's worst people! Mostly what I'm so upset about over this whole thing is that Mickey, in our country, is a symbol of peace and happiness. They are making their mouse, Farfur, preach intollerance and racism... This whole show just makes me want to cry... I need to see the real Mickey Mouse now. *runs off to try and scrounge up enough money to go to Disney*

That is better to hear, but this still disturbs me that these idiots think like this (not all Muslims but just this particular group that decided to make this show) I do agree that we need to get the heck out of the mid-east but that probably won't happen anytime soon.

The whole thing made me sick, but one part I found funny was that they had to use a Western icon to promote hatred of the Western civilization...

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip â€” A Mickey Mouse lookalike who preached Islamic domination on a Hamas-affiliated children's television program was beaten to death in the show's final episode Friday.

In the final skit, "Farfour" was killed by an actor posing as an Israeli official trying to buy Farfour's land. At one point, the mouse called the Israeli a "terrorist."

"Farfour was martyred while defending his land," said Sara, the teen presenter. He was killed "by the killers of children," she added.

The weekly show, featuring a giant black-and-white rodent with a high-pitched voice, had attracted worldwide attention because the character urged Palestinian children to fight Israel. It was broadcast on Hamas-affiliated Al Aqsa TV.

Station officials said Friday that Farfour was taken off the air to make room for new programs. Station manager Mohammed Bilal said he did not know what would be shown instead.

Israeli officials have denounced the program, "Tomorrow's Pioneers," as incendiary and outrageous. The program was also opposed by the state-run Palestinian Broadcasting Corp., which is controlled by Fatah, Hamas' rival.
