Anybody watching the Tour de France?

Post by karenj2 » Jul Thu 06, 2006 9:53 am

Hubby and I are watching the Tour de France every once in a while - it's just not the same without Lance, but it's still entertaining...

One of hubby's dream vacations is to visit France during this time - he wants to be one of those crazy Americans running with the flag in a weird getup during the mountain climbs...

Now that is one sport that I cannot watch. Sign me up for pretty much anything else. I even watch bowling, but for whatever reason I can't watch them ride bikes. And yes I know they are real athletes.

Little bit here and there - definitely not as interested without Armstrong in it though.

My fiancee's family are huge fans... I don't understand how they can watch cycling on TV, they don't understand how I can watch soccer. Fair enough, we leave each other be.

But at least when Lance was racing I cared how it ended. Now? Bah.

My husband watches golf on TV- talk about a snoozer! I get the best naps in when he watches that!

He pretty much likes any sort of sport - we even watched curling while the olympics were on!

no, curling, as in pushing a huge marble "rock" towards a goal on ice, while your teammates brush away the ice in front of the rock, to make it curl or stay straight...

Curling, yes! Le Tour, yes! I have been turning on the end and watching the last 30 minutes each morning.
