Summer Jobs

Post by Esmeralda » May Sun 21, 2006 7:16 pm

I just started my summer internship at 3M. It's going well so far, but I don't have any time for Subsonic during the day  At least I can get all the free Post-its I desire and more!

Anyone else starting a new summer job or doing something exciting for the summer?
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

I'll be lucky to listen to Subsonic Radio in the summer :( ...between jobs and the fact that my family and I spend a good portion of the summer at Martha's Vineyard...at least WDW is on the list of things to do this summer :ccat:

Ah, youth! :D

Enjoy it y'all - before you know it you're grown up with responsibilities.

I'm trying to start a side business this summer... so far, moving slowly... but with my fiancee and I moving, and helping her mother, who broke her neck (she's actually quite fine, just has to wear a halo for three months), and holding down my regular job, it ain't easy...

And yeah, Steve, I long for the days of the "summer job" ;-)

My thoughts exactly.
The concept of getting a summer job as a teenager is rediculous.
You're supposed to enjoy the last of your years that you can sit at home and be lazy.
That's the whole point of summer. Have no responsibities and be able to relax.

They say that you need to get used to having a job.
You'll have plenty of time to get used to having a job!
(Now I'm starting to think it would be nice to have some money....)
Maybe I should get a job

Well actually I just started my internship with the Modesto Nuts Minor League Baseball Team. They play at John Thurman Feild in Modesto, CA. I'm part of the Production Team. We put all the cool stuff on the video screen at the park and play awesome sound effects on the speakers during the game. It doesn't sound like much but there is alot more going on behind the scenes then people actually realize. We have to put on a show every night there is a home game. It's tough but I love it! (even though the pay isn't all that great) But that's why I applied at the Disney Store at my local mall! I just got called back for an interview today! So cross your fingers that I make it! If I get that job It will last more than just the summer. It will go all the way through college. That's about 5 more years for me.
I do stuff sometimes.
