I agree. Up till maybe mid 90's, he really made good decisions.jpsevil wrote:I'm not a huge Eisner fan, but I think this issue is overlooked. Disney was in major trouble when Eisner came in. His leadership really did help turn this around and he deserves the appropriate credit for his ideas and management.rick-g-tn wrote:But he did do a lot for Disney when he first got there.
But I think the lack of trust and many of Disney's recent failures show that it is time for someone new to take the reigns.
2 more years of Eisner

Save Disney clearly states that Eisner did good things at the start. I do agree. But I believe he got money hungry and stopped thinking long term and was only looking short term. Cutting corners or not spending enough.
It shows. Again, "On the cheap"

So what do you think about Bob Iger, Eisner's replacement?
I think Eisner was great in the beginning, maybe, say, up to the first 10 years, but like anyone who's been in their job too long, he got stale, greedy, and probably too nasty.
Yes, as much as I "thank" him for "saving" the parks and the Disney name, I think he should have stepped down sooner.
I've heard that Iger is a "soft-spoken" guy... very easy to deal with. I wonder if that will rekindle the Disney/Pixar relationship? Or, do you think Disney has recruited some Pixar animators and plans to go it alone?
