Why so quiet, Phillies fans

I'm in shock right now. I am so proud that the Mets swept the Phillies! However, they didn't only sweep them, they shut them out in all three games!!!

The first time a World Series winner has be shut out for three games! Actually right now the Phillies look like they've forgotten how to score! John Smoltz called the NL East the Shoots and Ladders Division! With first and last separated by 3 games, he's correct! The Braves are in second only a 1 1/2 out!! GO BRAVES!!

Yikes! That wasn't only a shutout sweep but the Mets also had 16 runs over the 3 games. Not only are all the teams separated by 3 games, they are the only division with ALL teams at .500 or better!

C'mon Phils, time to dig deep and get out of this slump!!

Well we almost had the third perfect game of the season and we are about 1/3 the way in. HOWEVER, the name Jim Joyce will now go down in history as the man who cost Armando Galarraga his perfect game.

As for my Mets. All I can say is that they can never win for Johann. In I think 8 of his starts this year he has allowed 1 or fewer ER. What does he have to show for this... only a 4-2 record.

That's great! You should be thankful you don't have to play Boston this year. And you should also be thankful that the Sox were nice enough to throw the Phils into the tailspin that they just pulling out of now, two weeks later! The BoSox softened them up for the Braves and Mets.

Mets had an amazing comeback tonight to sweep the pesky Marlins. For the past few years the Marlins have been beating the Mets in series' and have been hurting us. Glad to see the Mets get another series sweep at home. Winning home games helps to draw larger crowds and can make the difference come late summer.
