Lucy, I'm home!

The Olympics rocked. I saw the women's bronze medal hockey game. WTG Finland! They played like they wanted to win and they did.

(OK, technically I"m NOT at home, but... yeah. I'm actually in Salt Lake City interviewing another surgeon so I guess I should say I"m back in the states...)

You are lucky! I would have loved to have gotten a chance to see it in person.

Jacca - Hey now... I remember a certain playoff series with the Blue Shirts last playoff season... Good series... :D

Len - Don't you know it... Are you a Devils fan?
Born in Staten Island, but moved to NJ. I'm a die heart Rangers fan. I honestly can't stand the Devils.

Jacca, Rangers wear the Blue Shirts for home and have taken on the Broadway Blue Shirts. I honestly like the Liberty alternate the best.

BUMP... Since this thread is labeled Hockey & the Olympics, we'll just drop the Olympics part and talk HOCKEY. Inspired by hockeygirl, of course and the start of the PLAYOFFS.

Who's your pick to win it all?
Can Pitt repeat?
Will the Presidents trophy winners (and MY personal favorites) the Washington Capitals take it this year or bust in an early round like EVERY year?
Will a Cinderella story emerge like they did in March Madness?
Will the Rangers make it back to the playoffs NEXT year? (Sorry Len & Jacca)

Nothing from anyone??? All of the series are competitive. Best opening round of hockey I can remember in many years.

Looks like Pitt is gonna do it again! Crosby is unbelievable!! Did you see how long he held the puck to score that goal??

Yeah, I think he drank a coffee and read the paper before that goal. He is sickening. I would like another shot at them this year IF we can beat the defensive minded pesky Canadians. They are playing us a lot like the Rangers played us last year. Good defense and great goaltending (at times).

Honestly, I have a hard time watching hockey unless I am at the game...we like going to our minor league hockey games from time to time (they just got knocked out of the running for the Kelly Cup). We've only been to 1 NHL game...Ducks vs. Coyotes...Ducks won and went on to win the Stanley Cup that year!

But if I had to pick a team to root for, I'd go with either the Blackhawks or Red Wings (yeah, they win all the time)...DH has lived in both places and will root for them...
