I'm getting back into the groove of reading the Harry Potter books from the beginning. I have yet to finish book two since I keep getting distracted but once I start school, I should be finished by the time school ends.

I just read a good solid mystery that was very well written and not gorey(sp?) or silly. It was about a nurse in WW1 who becomes a private detective.

Maise Dobbs by ____Winspear.

I keep meaning to get to the library to pick up the next 2 books in the series.

We replaced reading with audio books!

I just finished "The Seventh Tower" series. It's like an adventure fantasy type book. I thought it was pretty good.

DUDE!!! Awesome Series!!!!!

And Audible rocks. Allows you to "read" a book whilst driving or commuting when you don't want to carry around a book or do work at the same time. :)

When I was working in Atlanta (a 2 hour commute) I was almost addicted to audio books. I was going through a few a week. Lucky we have good use book store in Chattanooga.

I love reading. I have a complete set of the original Sherlock Holmes stories, as well as other stuff by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I also have a couple of Joseph Conrad's books, the complete works of Jack London, and several novels by James Michener. Those are some of my favorite authors. I've also read many of Tom Clancy's books, all of Tolkein's stuff, and the complete Dune series.
I also thoroughly enjoy anything written by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Although her work was written over a hundred years ago mainly as children's books, I think it is very inspiring for anyone and should be required reading in schools.
On a lighter note, I have some stuff by Dave Barry, Jeff Foxworthy, and every Garfield, Calvin and Hobbes, Far Side, Foxtrot, Bloom County/Outland, and Liberty Meadows anthology ever written. I read those over and over to relax when I go to sleep....
That's just scratching the surface....
I know, I'm weird...

Right now I'm reading The Hunt for Red October, which is actually quite good. It's actiony-adventurey-suspensey. I also recently read the Dune series, which is phenomenal.

I just read the late great John Hench's book "Designing Disney: Imagineering and the Art of the Show". It was a fantastic book and definitely a great read.

Another book I just read recently was Amazonia by James Rollins. Its an exploration into the Amazon and it was very interesting.

I couldn't put the book down.
