2016 Pixie Dust Challenge-DLR

Post by wewantsdaredhead » May Fri 06, 2016 4:03 pm

Anyone here? Mary and I got here late last night...actually early this morning. 3am EDT.

But we slept in and we are just chilling waiting for tomorrow's 10k.

Exciting! Didn't know you were running out there so soon. I'll have to cheer you on from Michigan ~ run, WWDRH, run! :goofy_bounce:
Will you and Mary have some time in the parks after the race is over?

We plan on spending all Sunday after the run in both parks. Just hitting high spots really. Mary has never been to DCA and last time I was here with NaCler I didn't see everything.

The 10k was fun this morning. We stopped a lot with pics with some friends we found.

Nice ~ hope the crowds aren't too bad for y'all. I was just reading about all the cutbacks there due to Shanghai being over budget. Saw a few of the race photos ~ looks like fun!

How was the weekend? I've never done any of the Tinkerbell races - they're on my list...

Sorry for the delay, but the weekend was awesome. What a great course and a fun run. I liked the course much better than the DL half course. We ran with a couple of friends and they stopped for a bunch of picture (which I never do...) so it was good. I really enjoyed myself all weekend.

The only bad thing I can think of was we saw a lady bite it HARD on one of those half-dome reflectors they put in the road for turning lanes and such. This was at like mile 12...
Her phone went flying and down she went--she scraped up her hands really bad and she said her chest hurt (that's where she landed). But we saw her after the finish and she was ok and she finished fine.

I would recommend it for sure.
I will post some pictures eventually.
