OK who is up for the inaugural Disneyland Paris half marathon 23-25 September 2016.
Do you think this will qualify for the coast to coast?

We are serioulsy considering it. we have a friend that lives over there that we have been trying to visit for years.
Its also during Oktoberfest and you all know me---I will jump over to the Granddaddy of all beer festivals if possible!

Once you're IN Europe, it's pretty simple to go to another country by train. I'd say go for it. Just remember, Europeans don't drink their beer ice cold.wewantsdaredhead wrote:I just got my email about it...Sleepy90 wrote:OK who is up for the inaugural Disneyland Paris half marathon 23-25 September 2016.

My beer doesnt have to be cold--as long as it's beer it's all good! We are all about trying local beers when we go somewhere, now granted it has always been in the US.cy1229 wrote:Once you're IN Europe, it's pretty simple to go to another country by train. We are all signed up for the disneyland Paris 5k and half marathon in September training is going well and it is supposed to be a fairly flat race (lets hope so) we are looking to get a decent time so that we can get a better corral for next years wine and dine and then starts what we are calling the Great Disney Challenge.
2018
Princess weekend at Walt Disney world in February
Disneyland half weekend in California Disney in September
Disneyland Paris half weekend in France in September
This will give us the coast to coast and the castle to chateux medals and then
2019
Back to Walt Disney world for the Dopey Challenge
Yes we are that crazy

Wow ~ what a schedule! So there is a castle to chateux challenge in addition to the coast to coast now? Cool!Sleepy90 wrote:We are all signed up for the disneyland Paris 5k and half marathon in September training is going well and it is supposed to be a fairly flat race (lets hope so) we are looking to get a decent time so that we can get a better corral for next years wine and dine and then starts what we are calling the Great Disney Challenge.

That's going to be a lot of fun, and I'm impressed that you're planning that far ahead. The only races I know I'll be doing in 2018 or 2019 are (barring disaster) the Star Wars Light Side races. Which raises maybe another question for the group - does anyone on here have legacy races? Races you've done every year since they were founded?Sleepy90 wrote:Yes we are that crazy
