Probably a little early to ask, but:
Any idea on when we might hear tracks from the elecTRONica event at California Adventure?
There was an intro show with some fun stuff, great amient music as you walked into the event, and some fantastic techno-80s mixes that tied in with the movie...
Would love to see those appear here!
Thanks!

I'm not sure if they can since those are Journey and Daft Punk tracks, so they probably can't show up here.

Does that include the music they play at the actual event (which I don't think is *all* from the movie)?
And on the same line: If Daft Punk created the tracks for Disney, then it is probably owned by Disney - I would think.
Now, since I'm totally new to this site: What is the legality of the music here? How is does it work in general?
By the way: I think this site is amazing!

Daft punk, if I recall, is fully used for the entry stage area (after the show the area plays their radio edits of hits prior to the movie) and all the way down the main stretch of the backlot. The live stuff appears to be similar to the end of line club where the DJ was remixing daft punk, original work, and other songs.
As for ownership, the CD is Disney Records (DP may have a portion since they have clout).
I'm not sure about the decisions made but normally the only music seen on here is attraction/park music rather than songs off of the movie soundtracks. It may also cause the site to stray into the more concrete area of IP infringment.

Sub has said in the past the soundtracks would be excluded from the site. The few exceptions are those loop compilations for DHS. I would suggest if you want the TRON music to buy the soundtrack CD.

I was hoping to see the music that they played at the event in the park - not the soundtrack (I don't think it's all the same). It's a park area/seasonal event - so I thought *maybe* it would appear here in the same way the holiday, fireworks, and even one-time event like the rockin roller coaster ride through can be heard.

The preshow is
Separate Ways
The Game Has Changed
Aerodynamic
Superheroes
Crescendolls
Afterwards the area for the preshow plays daft punk's "clean" songs. The live DJ area plays daft punk and other songs remixed so there isn't a list at the moment for them.
