Re: a song with over 3,000 points
First off, welcome to the board. The point system can be complicated here, but it is pretty simple. You get 1,800 when you create an account. After that you get 10 points for each post you make. Right now you have 5 posts so you have 1,850 points. In order to reach 3,000 points, you need to make 120 posts on the board. The points do regenerate after 24 hours so no need to worry about saving up your points until you reach that goal.josewilliam wrote:How can i request a song with over 3,000 points?

Adding the obligatory "You can't post just to earn points; one word/one emoticon or otherwise spam-ish posts will be deleted by a mod" to Len's fine description. Oh, and don't double-post, either. Otherwise, you're good.

Don't despair, if you love Disney as much as the rest of us, you'll have plenty of points real quick. Since you are new there are so many threads to post to, points will come quickly. Remember, you can write to any thread here. So just look and see what threads are there. They don't have to be just the new ones either. You can also start you own threads.

I believe it has something to do with needing a certain number of points per second of the track. I can't remember if the exact formula is posted anywhere, though. Anyway, the longer the track, the more points you need, so 3000 points+ = really long track.napastoy wrote:I do not mean to be difficult...but why is something worth 3,000 in the first place? DisBeamer said it best. Certain tracks are longer than 10 minutes and as soon as you reach 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60 minute tracks then the points increase enough to fit the length.napastoy wrote:I do not mean to be difficult...but why is something worth 3,000 in the first place? yes, this is correct. The formula is simply 1 point per second of the track. that's why a 7 second track (such as the Pal Mickey tracks) cost 7 points, while a 10 minute track costs 600 points.momeja wrote:Aren't the tracks all worth 1 sec./pt.? Therefore, a 3000 pt. track is 50 min. of music. That's what seems to be the case when I've scanned the playlist.napastoy wrote:I do not mean to be difficult...but why is something worth 3,000 in the first place?
