Howdy Disney Folks,
I've heard bits and pieces of a song which is played somewhat often. Each time I try and see the name of it for some reason I miss it. Now I want to play it as it keeps going through my head (don't you hate that). So here is the part I remember:
"...send up some more of those Fritos"
Yes, fritos!! Why the character is talking about Fritos is beyond me
Anybody know what song this is? thanks -- tory

Ahh, the Frito Kid and his trusty pal Klondike. One of my favorite tracks...

Yep, this one was instantly Treasured when I first heard it. I remember my family talking about the Frito the Kid restaurant, so hearing this was awesome. It's probably one of my favorite tracks, just because it is pure, unadulterated joy.

I was ecstatic when I discovered SR had this track. It was one of my faves from an old Live365 station I used to listen to. Here I can actually listen to it when I want (points and previous requests permitting). Bliss! 8)
spaulo hunted down a pic of it in another thread a while back. So cool.

One of my DSs knows that one word for word. We have it on a cd we play while traveling. He can get carried away with it, that and he knows the words to the chicken dance. This some times makes for long trips! OY!!

To the OP- The track is talking about Fritos because it was played at the Casa De Fritos in the Disneyland Resort (Anaheim). It was a restaurant that was spanish/mexican themed and there was this cool "machine" for lack of a better word, that would send your Fritos (in the bag) down a type of chute while that track played. It was like Klondike, the donkey (horse?) sidekick of the Frito Bandito (the kid voice), would "mine" your fritos and send them to you.
Sadly, the Casa de Fritos was replaced with the vastly inferior Rancho del Zocalo
Here is a link about Casa de Fritos:

Hadn't heard so much as the name of Frito the Kid in a long time. Anybody else old enough to have actually had a toy of the character?

this all makes sense to me now! i posted a new thread about this cuz i never saw this one
someone in the old thread said it was played at the DLR and i assumed that meant railroad instead of resort

lol....i'm not used to seeing DLR, since i mostly go to WDW
the track makes a lot more sense to me now, klondike being a donkey and there being a restaurant like this....cute!

For future reference, the Disneyland Railroad is usually abbreviated "DLRR"
