Who are the composers of this music?
Does anybody know who makes this music? We were wondering if they are contracted by Disney to compose/record or Disney employees? What an awesome selection of music!!
http://www.soundofmagic.com/ has great info on composers. I believe most of it is contrated out. There are plans to make SR more informational about each of the tracks and such.

Sound of Magic
soundofmagic is a good website for composer information. You can also find many tracks available for downloading there.

illuminations - preshow area music - loop
I am listening to the illuminations - preshow area music - loop and with about 5 min's left it goes into this awesome part, with flutes and stuff, what is the name of that part? It's right before the western sounding part at the end. Is there a list some where that says what all these songs are for this set?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Re: Sound of Magic
I love The Sound of Magic, but the site hasn't been updated since 2003. It was a big disappointment last time I visited.rickeisenstein wrote:soundofmagic is a good website for composer information. You can also find many tracks available for downloading there.

If you're talking about the Sept. 1999 - July 3, 2004 show, here is a track listing of the preshow music (song -- artist):
1 They Were Dancing Barefoot -- Yehuda Poliker
2 Superwasp/Along The Coast Of Norway/Neckbuster -- Seelyhoo
3 Native Funk -- Burning Sky
4 Flute Battle -- Cusco
5 The Concertina Set -- Bùrach
6 Imeland -- Groupa
7 Montezuma -- Cusco
8 30-års Jiggen (Thirty-Year Jig) -- Väsen
9 Inca Dance -- Cusco
10 Appalachian Morning -- John Williams & The Boston Pops
If you mean the show since July 3, 2004, here is the preshow info:
1 Jalan Kopo -- Sabah Habas Mustapha
2 Busindre Reel -- Hevia
3 Gaviotes -- Hevia
4 Tula -- Cusco
5 Bear -- Hedningarna
6 Red Skies -- Omar Faruk Tetbilek
7 Texas -- Wimme
I have no idea if these lists are complete, but this is all I could scrounge from various places on the web.
Hope this helps. I think the track you can request here is the 1999-2004 version. Maybe subsonic can verify that. Good luck finding what you're looking for! (I think Cusco is your best bet!)
