2 Tracks of the most popular...

I was just wondering if it would be possible to have 2 tracks of the most popular tracks. Let me explain what I'm talking about and why I proposing this. The complete spaceship earth ride is one of the most popular tracks in the subsonic list and yet, I am rarely able to request or listen to it because a lot of people wants to hear this track. By adding another track, having twice the same track, I would have a lot more chances to hear one of my favorite tracks. Either that or changing the 24h time frame where we cannot request the same track twice.
What do you think about that???

What I've tried to eliminate is the constant repeats of popular tracks. As I make changes, I'll try and come up with a system to allow for people who can't get enough of the same track over and over again to be able to listen to those. Perhaps a late night time frame with no time between repeats.

How about a 2am "High on Music" segment, which hopefully does everything except repeat "it's a small world after all" 500 times.

I think this can become a great additon to Sub. Maybe from like 2am - 5am tracks can be played up to say 4 times in one night. Or only requested once per person at night. So one person don't load one song 50 times.
I think a late night Subsonic should be looked into more.

Yeah, give those people who want a solid hour of haunted mansion tracks to get their fill between 3-4am.

I personally would like to se a personal play list for members to choose what they want with the ability to pick them in random order.
Similar to Mouse Times. This site is so much better as the choice of music is great.

Another idea might be to add a "Most Popular Tracks" time to the scheduled stream, and play the tracks that have been requested the most during that scheduled time.

This is a great idea! Like a Top 10 requests of the week, or something. Awesome.

Surely it'd still be late night, but just not quite so late.
And over here, it'd be early morning
Andy.
PS, I agree with addlema. Come to the chat, and if the right someone's around and you suck up enough, you might just get extra favours

Do you think it would be possible to remove the point limit if no-one is adding tracks when you are listening, I understand that at peak times it works as a great way to limit people from either picking long tracks or lots of tracks. But during the night when its only yourself and the computer it might be an idea to remove the limit or half the points like a happy hour (or happy low time???!)

I usually log on around 5:30 am Eastern, and there are rarely tracks in the request queue at that time.
