Help with Song

Post by Walesfan » Dec Thu 29, 2005 9:17 am

Hi Guys, I was hoping someone could help me, im a WDW regular so I dont have much info on DL in California, but I've seen a video of the Parade of Dreams and love the Opening/Main theme song (I think it goes something like "Welcome to our family time").

Can anyone here help with what this song is actually called, and of its possible to get this song by itself?

I requested Parade of Dreams so hopefully I can hear it and maybe I can think of what it is :D so many times I have to actually hear the song, my recall isn't all that great. I am sure someone on here (other than myself) will know it right away. Good luck, sorry I wasn't more help :(

Sorry I listened to it and have no idea. It's almost like Phil Collin's theme song to Tarzan, called One Family. Eagle would probably know, you might send him a PM and ask him.

Sorry again.

Ive done some searching online and from what i can gather its taken from brother bear, by Phil Colins, guess its a good reason to get the DVD out.

The song is just called "Welcome". There are two versions of it on the Brother Bear soundtrack, one sang by Phil Collins, and the one that appeared in the film sung by the Blind Boys of Alabama.

So is the version in the parade the one done by Blind Boys of Alabama, or is it a version done for the park only?

It is a theme park only version. The words are slightly different too as the Brother Bear version's lyrics pertain more to the movie and the theme park one is more pertaining to the anniversary.

The song is, indeed, "Welcome" originally done by phil colins, but the version they used was the Jump 5 version off the Disneymania (three? I think? might be two) cd. All they did was get the "disney chorus" to re-record it.

Find the Jump 5 version and you'll be a lot closer than the Blind Boys of Alabama.
