Ride quotes in everyday life
Let's use ride quotes in actual day to day situations that have happened to us.
Example! Just happened!
I was hurrying back home under a darkening sky but too late! - - Caught! In THE DELUGE.

Re: Ride quotes in everyday life
Oh my goodness, I find myself using Disney quotes all the time. Rarely does anyone catch on though
I use the "and they rain, and rain, and rain. The deluge." a lot

Re: Ride quotes in everyday life
Driving home in the rain yesterday "deluge" was actually used in the weather forecast and my first thought was for the Living Seas and how this is the one place I could find wonderful like minded people who would get it
Re: Ride quotes in everyday life
When talking about the weather, sometimes I will say "Well the robins are back, that's a sure sign of spring." People just look at me funny. I probably quote the two versions of CoP more than any other attraction.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

That is SUCH a good one that I'm going to start using it - I can't stop laughing right now. In fact, I just texted a picture of a blooming tree with "Well the robins are back, that's a sure sign of spring" to my whole family. Lets see if they get it.horizons1 wrote:When talking about the weather, sometimes I will say "Well the robins are back, that's a sure sign of spring." People just look at me funny. BTW, that's an amazing avatar picture you have horizons1.

Re: Ride quotes in everyday life
I wouldn't be able to use that quote very effectively this year. The robins are back, but it is looking anything like spring with the snow still on the ground in Aprilkelpseaweedkelp wrote:That is SUCH a good one that I'm going to start using it - I can't stop laughing right now. Let us know how many of your family "get" your photo ksk ~ maybe write the ones who don't out of the will
Re: Ride quotes in everyday life
LOL, Amy, the robins in your neighborhood are probably too busy shoveling snow.
Thanks Kelp. You like that quote because you get it! And that avatar pic came from a collection of Star Wars/Pooh mashup pics called "Wookie the Chew" by "relentlessly cheerful artist" James Hance. He has some other really clever stuff:

Re: Ride quotes in everyday life
I would like to report that NOBODY in my family got it until I dropped a hint - dropped from the will! Then my dad started texting Now is the Time bc he likes that version better. His favorite song of all time is also "I Love to Laugh".
...I got some Chipotle today and had to restrain myself from saying "Quick Meal points please!" Its really an ideal size for that.
I also find myself saying "Its a glorious three hour finale!" A LOT

Re: Ride quotes in everyday life
Oh yes, there are lots of quotables in Muppetvision. I think some of my two frequently-used ones (besides the glorious one you mentioned) are:
"Debbie was sick so the union sent me."
"Too bad they're going to spoil it with a pig."

"Too bad they're going to spoil it with a pig."

Re: Ride quotes in everyday life
MuppetVision 3D does have a lot of good quotes! I hear the "It's a glorious three hour finale..." "You've got a minute and a half!" "*gasp!*" whenever I see a picture of Sam Eagle
and I like "A salute to all nations, but mostly America" too

Re: Ride quotes in everyday life
In a meeting once there was quite the negative vibe going about something we were unsure of. Pause in the discussions...me saying "if we can dream it then we can do it"
