"Look kids, Big Ben... Parliament!"

Found myself saying this several times this weekend as we forgot something and had to go back so we passed a lake by our house about 4 times.

 we use that one in the same situations too...

I had forgotten all about this thread...another one we use from time to time is "juuust a bit outside" from Major League.

I just like to throw out lines from Fletch. My favorite movie of all time. They usually have nothing to with anything. I just get a kick out of them.

Waiter @ tennis club: "Would you like some drinks, senor, while you wait? I will put it on the Underhills' bill."

Fletch: "Yes, very good. I'll have a Bloody Mary and aaaaa steak sandwich, and a...... steak sandwich."

Since this was moved to the Games Topic Thread it is only fitting that we turn this into a game.

How to play: Someone will post the name of a movie and then others will try and post 5 memorable lines from that movie. The line can be well-known or it can be an obscure one that you use on a regular basis with your family, friends, etc... If you want, you can list why it is a memorable quote to you.

If you post the 5th quote to a movie, then you are responsible to post the name of another movie to keep the game going. I'm hoping that it doesn't have to be Disney related, but I'm sure the Mods will let me know if we need to change things around.

I will start with a movie and the first quote just to get us started:

The Three Amigos
1) "It's a SWEATER!" - This is one of my family's favorite lines during gift-giving occasions such as Christmas or Birthdays. We say this whenever we know what we are getting or if we get clothes.

2) *singing* My little buttercup...has the sweetest smile... - I can think of others, but I just heard this song the other day and all I could think about was this movie! It's stuck in my head!!!

p.s. great idea NaCler!!!

3) *walking up to a bush that is singing, She'll be coming around the mountain* "Excuse me, are YOU the singing bush?" Hahaha... I crack up every time. :D

4) You son of a motherless goat! - I cannot tell you how many times this quote is uttered out of my mouth...especially in frustration...and usually aimed toward an inanimate object (i.e. the TV, the computer, the remote, a baseball game if I need to (miss my step, bump my head and need to) "watch my language"...

Not to take away from the game, I just wantted to add my quote that I have used in everyday life. From Dr. Strangelove, "Gentlemen, you can't fight in here, this is the WAR ROOM!" OK, now back to your regularly scheduled game.
Are we there yet? When can we go back?

I don't know what's worse, the anticipation of going or the withdrawals after getting home.

MmeLeota - I guess we're the only ones that want to play this one... Oh well.

5) "Well, we can take a walk and you can kiss me on the veranda."
"Hmmm, lips will be fine."

Let's go with "Princess Bride"

Dude, you're in trouble now...I can see C-40's eyes rolling now

(cracks knuckles) Now, where to begin???

1) "no more rhymes now, I mean it"
"anybody got a peanut?"

Great topic NaCler!
I walk around saying movie/tv quotes all day long--all day!
Sometimes I will say one and my wife will say, "What? Oh, is that from a movie?"

Here's a few of my favorites. I'll post more as I say them :)

"A man's got to know his limitations."

"I swallowed a bug."

"That's the gift that keeps on giving the whole year." "That it is, Edward."
