I will take some time to look at how dark it gets but won't be direct-viewing. I think this is going to be like the movie Night of the Comet so some of us need to be around after everyone else turns into zombies.

It was 99% here too, and fully cloudy! I saw a snippet when the clouds parted briefly after the moon was already past centre. It did get dark enough to turn on a few street lights though. I watched a bit on the NASA TV site, and Indianapolis had the best video of it that I saw, nice flares going in and out of totality and some colour, not just black and white. Thankfully not a zombie just yet

well, I'm glad you both got to participate in your own way ~ I couldn't believe it, we had fully clear skies in Michigan, which never happens when something like this happens. It was very cool! And knock on wood, not a zombie here either

Here in AZ it was pretty much a non-event. The sky got ever-so-slightly darker, as if it was cloudy but without clouds. That's it.
