it looks more like a German eagle than American. though, I don't recall an eagle carved into wood in Germany. I seem to remember seeing this is Italy somewhere (we didn;t spend alot of time there last trip)...

I'm not sure what EPCOT you've been to, but there is no African pavillion. there's the Outpost refreshment area which holds an African theme, but it's no pavillion like the rest of WS. and the Outpost was already guessed...
