Ohhh, gotcha -- I remember there being some upset about that logo a few years ago.

I saw a picture of someone holding the mugs and they look really big ~ you were right BIG, those aren't a little mug like I had suspected when I first saw photos of them.

If you can see the photos here...one of them is the barcode for the MK mug. If anyone wants to try to call and purchase it over the phone.

I don't know why but something bugs me about Starbucks being in the Disney Parks now

Probably the same thing that bugged people about McDonald's being in the parks for awhile.grimmghosts96 wrote:I don't know why but something bugs me about Starbucks being in the Disney Parks now

It really depends. Of course limited edition or hard to find items usually end up with significant inflation, but standard items sometimes aren't too bad on Ebay. Presumably CMs and local APs are using their discount so they make a profit selling it at or just above retail.Amy wrote:Oh my goodness, that will be something to check out for sure. If not, I'm sure we'll see them on Ebay (hopefully not at too much of a markup).Amy wrote:I wonder if the mugs would be something you could call up the "I forgot to get that one thing at WDW that I really wanted, so I'm calling you to order it now" phone number?

I don't mind them being in the parks so much when they've built a new facility or refurbished a lower performing location, but I'm still upset about the Main Street Bakery.grimmghosts96 wrote:I don't know why but something bugs me about Starbucks being in the Disney Parks now

Just a few hours after my post, it looks like the prices will be inflated for a while:Polynesian Princess wrote:It really depends. Anyone hear the drama on the EPCOT mug already? Apparently they included monorail purple on them. They have all been pulled off the shelves and a new one is being produced with a different color monorail. I guess those lucky enough to get them before they realized the mistake is going to have a collectible that may end up being valuable one day.

Just saw this ~ someone mentioned they are popping up on ebay already and are up to $275. I'm surprised no one caught this before it was made. Also couldn't believe it has been almost 6 years since the monorail accident. Time really does fly by doesn't it?NaCler wrote:Anyone hear the drama on the EPCOT mug already? Yeah Amy... we're the old people around here now. Sad, but some really great memories.

I can't believe it's been that long. I think it wasn't caught because everything on the mug is purple, so it wasn't like they said "Here's a monorail. What color should it be?" The color was chosen for the entire cup and no one thought of the connection.Amy wrote:I'm surprised no one caught this before it was made. I'm surprised no one seemed to notice when the designs were first shown online just before they started selling them.

So...I guess I won't be able to call WDW Merchandise and ask if I can buy one over the phone today.
I'll try calling to see if I can buy the one for MK in the meantime. Part of me thinks they will say no since it is only available at that particular location...but the other part thinks that because it's a Disney price tag with a Disney SKU that they can sell it over the phone. We'll see...

Yes, please let us know. $35 is the cheapest I'm seeing any of the mugs on Ebay right now.Amy wrote:Let us know what they say. I'm curious too.theBIGyowski wrote:So...I guess I won't be able to call WDW Merchandise and ask if I can buy one over the phone today.
