Another option would be to hold off for a little while and see if the price drops any. I suspect it might once some of the buzz dies down about them. Maybe once the AK one is released and people complete their collections? They're only $15 in the park and most of the people selling are probably taking advantage of AP or CM discounts, so sooner or later they'll probably start trying to under price each other once the sales start slowing.
Can't wait to take my twin boys on their first trip to Walt Disney World! Planning on heading there sometime Feb-May 2014!

I have some friends who live in Tampa who are in WDW this week and they picked up the new Epcot mug for me. It has Monorail Silver now instead of Purple. They'll just ship it to me when they get home. I have a friend at work who is an AP holder and will be going down multiple times this year, so worst case scenario he can buy me the AK mug once they finish putting in the Starbuck's there.
We really do love these mugs though. They are a nice big size and are great for coffee, tea, hot cocoa, or maybe even soup since they are wide enough. Plus the fact that you can only get them in one place makes them a fun collector's item. And if we were actually going to WDW I wouldn't bother having people buy them for me right now.

I vote wait or find someone who is going to the parks that is willing to ship them to you. That's kind of a steep markup...daluke wrote:Thanks for these links - now my predicament is whether to order them online, or wait until I go. It will mean more to me if I get it on property, but that could be many many months from now.
FYI the price is now $25 + shipping per. So I would pay $32.50 for a $15 mug. Hmm...

I agree. I wouldn't pay $32 for this mug at Disney. Plus it means something when you buy it from the location. We have one of these from NYC and if I had simply ordered it online, it would be just another mug.Amy wrote:I vote wait or find someone who is going to the parks that is willing to ship them to you. Our friends sent us the new Epcot mug as well as the one you can get from any Starbucks in Florida. I think the Epcot mug is our favorite of them all so far.

I was in the parks in May and got a Magic Kingdom mug. LOVE IT! Pretty big, very solid. My favorite Disney mug (for now!)

yeah these are definitely our favorite mugs
they are very well made and hold 14 oz of coffee...the colors are vibrant and it's fun picking out the different icons on each mug
