Food debates
Food debates?
I figured I'd have a place where we can do a "this or that" kind of discussion. I'll go first:
Dole Whip with or without juice?
I say with. I haven't had it without, but I loved the float. Loved loved loved it. Now I'm salivating heavily thinking about it.

Re: Food debates
Here are the variations as far as I know:
1) Dole Whip
2) Float (pineapple + pineapple juice)
3) Float (vanilla + pineapple juice)
4) Float (pineapple/vanilla swirl + pineapple juice)
5) Dole Whip Swirl with pineapple/vanilla
I know there is an orange variation but I am not counting that.
Now...I have had all of the variations you see above. My favorite is #1...it's pure and simple. After that, the only one I like is #3. Having the pineapple Dole Whip + pineapple juice is just too much for me. The vanilla soft serve kind of takes the bite out of the pineapple juice. The swirl really doesn't add anything to the float...and the swirl by itself is ok...but nothing special.

Re: Food debates
Unfrosted rice krispie bricks for me please And pretty much the only good ones I had the last time were at the Sunshine Seasons food court. The little mickey mouse shaped ones just don't taste the same now that they are made elsewhere I don't think they are as fresh is the main difference in taste I suppose. But I did like those kind with the chocolate dipped ears and mickey mouse shaped sprinkles when they used to be made on property.Soarin08 wrote:Mmmmmm Dole Whip floats!!!!

Re: Food debates
I prefer my krispie bricks unfrosted! But I wouldn't pass up one that was dipped in chocolate, TYVM.

I agree with Amy on the bricks from Sunshine Seasons. I would LOVE one of those right about now!

Re: Food debates
Put me in the plain Dole Whip column, nice and simple. Mmmm.

I wanted to try it the last time we went but the line was to long and we were on our way to Jungle Cruise, I should have stopped...

Re: Food debates
Here's another one ~ plain popcorn, or caramel corn?
We had some delicious caramel corn, still super fresh (they were stirring in the caramel when we walked up) and ooey-gooey the last time we were at DL and it was heavenly! We tried a little at Karamell-Küche in the Germany Pavilion a few trips ago, and it was ok, but nothing like that fresh stuff.

oooooh. I don't know. I really really like caramel corn, but sometimes I just want plain popcorn, too.
Tough choice! I'd have to say I choose caramel corn more often than regular popcorn.

If I am wanting savory...I would go with plain popcorn
but if I am in the mood for something sweet...caramel corn is awesome

I'm with you, Amy, the fresh caramel corn is hard to beat. A big plus to me is that it doesn't have those little husks that plain popcorn has, always stop somewhere in your throat
