What is your favorite attraction to share with a 1st timer?

In relation to Disney Parks but not specific to a single resort

What is your favorite attraction to share with a 1st timer?

Post by DisneySpin » Jun Wed 27, 2012 9:58 pm

I have always felt so fortunate to live close to Disneyland and one of my favorite things as years went on was when relatives would come to visit and I took them for their first trip to the Magic Kingdom. Even rides that had become very familiar took on fresh vibes, watching their reactions. With kids, it was pretty easy, they loved everything! But the teens and adults, those were the ones I wanted to watch for the wide-eyed "amazed" look.
For me, across the board, Pirates always did it best. Most of us here can probably say every line along with the cast, (but Don't), but it takes you back to your own first ride when your first timers are doing their Linda Blair/Exorcist swivel head, trying to take it all in
The more mature  ones also were amazed at the landscaping and cleanliness.
We're all mad here, I'm mad, you're mad."

I have a friend (my high school best friend) who has never been to Disney. When she finally makes it, we're heading to Haunted Mansion first. Mostly because she hates roller coasters and this to me is the top of Disney attraction masterpieces that everyone must see.

I guess it depends on their age and if they are a roller coaster wimp like I am. (and I assume that making them try Beverly doesn't count right? hahaha)

so assuming they are an adult like me and a wimp like me, I would probably say Soarin'. Its a great ride, worth the wait (unless it gets back to the doors of course )
