Park Music Reminds Me of Subsonic Radio
The other day while walking down the entrance to Space Mountain in WDW I found myself thinking "ah, Star Tunnel", which made me realize that I now identify music I hear as I walk through the parks as tracks heard on Subsonic Radio.
This, to me, is funny, because normally we think of this site as reminding us of Disney, not the other way around.
Has anyone else developed such a habit?

No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

I felt a little bit of that when I was pre-quoting lines on the Great Movie Ride and Jungle Cruise last week. And also while riding the buses to/from the parks.horizons1 wrote:The other day while walking down the entrance to Space Mountain in WDW I found myself thinking "ah, Star Tunnel", which made me realize that I now identify music I hear as I walk through the parks as tracks heard on Subsonic Radio.

I see right where you are coming from! I'm guilty of the same!horizons1 wrote:The other day while walking down the entrance to Space Mountain in WDW I found myself thinking "ah, Star Tunnel", which made me realize that I now identify music I hear as I walk through the parks as tracks heard on Subsonic Radio.

Yep! I noticed when I heard some of the background music in DL and DCA and when we went on Muppets (I can now almost recite the preshow), my first thought went right to Subsonic!
I love that I can put a name with some of the music now!

It has happened to me in Epcot on my last two trips. I caught myself humming along with the Innoventions area music without even realizing it. Yeah...happened on BOTH trips!

On our last two trips to WDW when we were in MK, DHS and Epcot, DH and I would hear music and say "Oh, this makes us think of Subsonic!" I don't think it can be avoided! I think maybe b/c we all spend more time on Subsonic then in the actual parks. Now only if that could be reversed, we could all spend more time in the Disney parks as opposed to the real world!

It's an ironic full circle: we listen to Subsonic to remind us of WDW, and when we're at WDW the music we hear reminds us of Subsonic!

Every time I'm in Main Street, I think back on how everyone requests Put On Your Sunday Clothes when I hear it play.

So, that means the site is doing it's job perfectly in completing the circle I did realize this phenomenon when waiting in line at Soarin. Going from the queue to preshow, attractionn, and exit music it really took me back to listening to the Soarin' stream.mindflipper wrote:It's an ironic full circle: we listen to Subsonic to remind us of WDW, and when we're at WDW the music we hear reminds us of Subsonic!

Only thing better than going cold turkey from a WDW addicition is feeding the addiction with music from Subsonic!Len90 wrote:So, that means the site is doing it's job perfectly in completing the circle I did realize this phenomenon when waiting in line at Soarin. I actually did that once too! I kept telling my sisters that I had the music on my iTunes and I had the craving to listen to Subsonic while at the park.Len90 wrote:So, that means the site is doing it's job perfectly in completing the circle I did realize this phenomenon when waiting in line at Soarin. It has changed life for us as we knew it.

I think it's just made it richer.elizabethswann wrote:It has changed life for us as we knew it.

I'd have to agree...momeja wrote:I think it's just made it richer.elizabethswann wrote:It has changed life for us as we knew it.
You know, it's interesting how many people we have met either at the park or at some sort of Disney function. Disney fans seem to connect instantly with each other (because we're so happy that there are others just as crazy as us! We're not alone!!! )
