Ok...remember that funky fear of mine that includes robots and being up close to animatronics and such??? Ummm yeah....this would fall into that category. Granted I don't have sound right now to hear it, the visual was enough to know that I would not want to be hanging around this Mickey very long!
Don't get me wrong...the technology behind this is AMAZING! I'm speaking from a personal standpoint here...

I think I would be a little horrified to see that in public, to be honest.

I kind of like how Mickey doesn't talk. I enjoy just watching the body language of the characters. But this technology is pretty cool.

That is incredibly creepy. As a kid I really enjoyed getting pictures with the characters, but talking characters would have been terrifying. Come to think of it, this is terrifying for an adult too...
Stick with comforting body language, thank you!

I like it and I don't like it. I like that they are trying to stay up with technology and create a new experience. However, I can see a lot of problems with this popping up. What if Mickey says something that the guest doesn't understand and they get offended? Or if the guest THINKS they heard Mickey say something different than what he actually said?
Will Mickey have the guts to tell the BTG's to move it to another line?

Disney had revealed something like this before on the Christmas Parade TV special back in 2008. The Santa Claus Mickey had an audio-animatronic mouth that moved when it spoked to Regis Philbin. Goofy did too. I'm sure these version were only used for that TV parade special because I never heard of or saw them again after that. These versions only said pre-recorded lines.

Could have that weird Oompa-loompa vibe - I think I need to see it first.

It is both awesome and creepy. But...when you think about it...having characters walking around the parks who do not talk at all is creepy...especially when you are used to seeing them move around and talk in cartoons.
I really hope this new Mickey (and maybe other talking characters) are there in WDW later this year for my trip.

I'm gonna have to wait and see on this one. I know Mickey talks, but, I'll wait.

I just wonder how Disney will control what Mickey et al will say when they're "inter-active" with kids???
