What is in Wonders of Life presently? Is it totally empty?
As of April 2010, the pavilion hasn't operated regularly for over 6 years, and although the space is sometimes used for special events, the attractions within have remained closed, and since been partially removed.
I've been in it since it closed for food and wine festival events...it's nice to see it again, but kinda sad.

I would have loved to have seen Cranium Command or The Making of Me simply because of Martin Short.

I would like to have a true high speed monorail that would connect every resort and every park. Walt would love the idea of having the newest best transportation system in his place again.

Largely because of bdinger (who always requests Horizons at night), I'd love to bring back Horizons. when we went in 94, it was during its brief closure, and it was gone by the time we went back in 2001.

That's so sad...so you never got to experience Horizons?! :(

You can watch the full show in several places on youtube. It isn't the same but the closest you will be able to get I'm afraid. It really was a lovely attraction! One of my favorite parts was when you were in front of the huge screen (like an IMAX) and the crystals were growing ~ awesome musical score behind that section!

Maybe turn EPCOT into Walt's original vision for it? Or add that as a new area to that park?

Can we consider a park an attraction? If so, I'd make a serious investment toward making EPCOT more of what Walt originally intended it to be...

I would refurb the entire imagination pavilion - a new old Journey into Imagination, new Imageworks and a new 3-D movie.

Is there a topic for more general changes or wanted additions? Not really? Okay fine, I'll go long here :P

1. Restore Journey Into Imagination. Surprised this didn't come up more. I don't know if I'd make it identical to the original but I feel like with modern technology we can make something impressive and yet still carry the amazing tone of the original. I still would love to know why they used so little of the original track and space - I feel like there was a reason for that, maybe something like the infamous Horizons sinkhole.

2. FIX THE DISCO YETI.

3. Rebuild the Adventurer's Club, possibly right into Adventureland. The location is flexible because putting an attraction like that in the Magic Kingdom may open up a can of worms or two. Maybe Animal Kingdom somewhere but then the safari-ish theming wouldn't jive too well with the conservation message (wait, is this part why the original closed???) Could vary the concept a few different ways but definitely some similar attraction.

4. Theme up the Indy Speedway into something more akin to the Autopia. I was amazed at how much better Disneyland's drive-cars-on-a-rail ride is. There's nothing wrong with the overall track or anything, but it needs a retheme badly, it seems so plain in comparison to a lot of Disney.

5. Replace the Indy show with a ride. Indiana Jones Adventure! I feel like this has been coming for a long time. I also think this can be changed up from the usual ... perhaps a more Chinese temple adventure or something?

6. Add more rides to World Showcase. I don't want this to sound as dumb and shallow as it probably first looks, but it feels unbalanced to me that of the nations present, only two of them get actual rides and they're both right on the far left. Doesn't have to be anything big, just ... something.

7. Reopen the Millennium Village. Might help with 6. I dunno if I'm alone on this but I thought the stuff they had in there was quite the awesome breath of fresh air, and awesome and educational and stuff. Definitely added to the diversity of what's currently in World Showcase, and I kinda wonder what a larger version would be like - would it be possible to represent the whole world?

8. Build up a Muppet land in the Studios around Muppet*Vision. Probably my favorite of all the discarded blue-sky ideas I've ever heard for the parks. At least a restaurant and a ride.

9. Bring the Haunted Mansion Holiday to Orlando! Finally saw the movie a couple weeks ago and now I really badly want to try the ride. This and some other seasonal stuff. Ghost Galaxy comes to mind.

10. Fix Spaceship Earth's ending. Not sure how fond I am of the voiceover but the ride back down just needs serious help. Bring back Tomorrow's Child. No more of this tech showoff stuff.

...Probably should stop here before I go on too far. No idea what I'd do with Carousel of Progress; it definitely needs updating but I'm not sure how sustainable the current plan is for the long run, maybe should bring it back to the original version for history's sake. Wonders of Life needs to become ... something. Universe of Energy needs an update. Animal Kingdom could use an Australia land. More monorails. More interactive queues (I love these things, seriously). Another waterpark. And so on...

American Adventure. I know they update the final video from time to time but the attraction opened in 1982. It's time to add to the theatrical presentation.

I always get the feeling that they just tossed old props on the side of the road and put windows into the costume dept so they could say the have a backlot tour.
I was rereading this old thread and got a little misty when I read this post. Far from overhauling it, they've done away with it entirely. My DD, who hopes to be an Imagineer one day, loved going on that ride just for Catastrophe Canyon, which was legend among Imagineers as crazy innovative. All gone. All gone.
