They should have done that a long time ago! Although $700 is a bit steep!

Have to agree with you on this 100%. I am surprised that it took them this long to come up with this idea. When you think about it, it costs about $300 a week for the park hopper at WDW. I guess two weeks in WDW and some days at DL will make it pay for itself?

Man, if I was able to score a annual pass for WDW, I'd go there every month aside from dealing with airfare, food and hotel.

We get the annual pass, and schedule our next vacation around the expiration date. That way we don't have to buy tickets for the following trip.

I agree with Jacca5660 - $700 is a bit steep and what took them so long to come up with idea?

I don't think $700 is steep for a yearly pass.

We pay approx £300 pounds each for our two week parkhoppers when we come over that is $430 with the exchange rate as it is at the minute. If we could get over twice a year we would be saving, but at the minute once a year is all we can make.

Ah, but do you go to both resorts? It would be worth it for you, if you did. If you only go to WDW or DL, it is cheaper for you to purchase the annual pass for the resort you visit (it's $300 something for WDW).

$700 is a bit steep considering you would need to arrange for airfare and boarding at both resorts. Even if, like me, you live close enough to one of the resorts to make it a day trip the airfare to travel across the country, and room and board at the destination make it not worthwhile (in my opinion).

Maybe they could give deeper discounts on resorts and such for the Premier Annual Passport. This would make you more willing to buy it because you would get bigger savings on staying on-site. You really can't break even unless you are a normal DLR AP holder. In this sense you are only paying $260 or so more for unlimited access to WDW. On the flip side...for WDW AP holders...you can't do enough at DLR to justify the extra cost.

Ok my interest has been raised. If what agingerbugg says is correct and an annual pass for WDW is $300+ then it might be cheaper for us to buy annual passes rather than two week parkhoppers now here is the big question.

Do you have to be living in the states to purchase annual passes.(or can any random bod get one)

We are from out of state, and get an annual pass every year.
(We belong to the Disney Vacation Club, and get a discount because of that).
There is a pass just for the residence of Florida. Maybe that is what you are think'n of?

I meant non Americans, I forgot your states are all governed differently.

This was our thinking exactly...however, since we're trying to get to a point where we can get DL APs again, a pass like this would be good in a year that we decide to try to go to WDW...we probably wouldn't get there often enough to make it worthwhile every year.

If you can afford to make use of the bi-coastal pass (i.e. fly to, and stay at one or both of the places) chances are you can afford the $700.
