The first bird whistle you here when your ticket is scanned let's me know that I'm in Disneyland. I love that bird whistle.

Which boats. To me they sound a little different depending on the ride vehicle and width of the machinery moving it.Amy wrote:...and the bumpety-bump of the boats going up ramps as the attraction is drawing to a close.

We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

I was thinking specifically of It's a Small World and Pirates of the Caribbean...MadEye wrote:Which boats. You can also listen on www.Pandora.com, just use Vera Lynn as the artist for the station. Or you can Wikipedia "Big Band" and find some other big band artists to create a station around.theBIGyowski wrote:If anyone has DirecTV...the music channel 801 has a lot of the same music you hear in the ToT queue. It's big band style music. I can't tell you how many times I have heard a song come on while I am in the kitchen and I immediately picture myself in the hotel lobby!

I also found that if you create a "Cusco" station, Pandora plays a lot of Illuminations preshow music, as well as some other area music from the parks.

I love it when you can time it *JUUUUUUST* right and come into the MK on your first day of a vacation and hear the Lily Belle train coming into the station above Main Street USA. Man, that is a great way to start a vacation. to hear that train bell? I love it.

I love that sound too! I would use it as my message alert on my phone if I could.proudcanuck wrote:The first bird whistle you here when your ticket is scanned let's me know that I'm in Disneyland. I love that bird whistle.
I also love the sounds of the boats chugging "up the waterfall" on POTC and when entering the uload area on IASW. Also the sound of the RR moving along the track. And the sound of the logs getting ready to be thrown into the briar patch of Splash.
Like the smells, there are so many sounds I love that I could never name them all in one sitting.

Re: Disney "Sounds"
I love all the sounds of Disney. The train going around the Magic Kingdom, the Monorail at Epcot, sounds of fireworks, the parades, the crowds, the rides.... just being at the Parks makes me happy and I feel "home", so hearing the sounds of the parks is very comforting.
Walt Disney World. Home away from Home.

Another sound I love is on Soarin', at the end of the ride when everyone presses the release button at the same time...the sound of all the seatbelts unlocking

You used to also kinda hear it on Star Tours. I imagine it will be the same...I don't think the restraint system changed at all.Amy wrote:That is fun ~ you can hear that on Dinosaur and Indy too!MmeLeota wrote:Another sound I love is on Soarin', at the end of the ride when everyone presses the release button at the same time...the sound of all the seatbelts unlocking

I smile every time we walk by the seagulls belting out mine, mine, mine. and the jungle drums at Animal Kingdom.
Re: Disney "Sounds"
I think it's the way they signal it that makes it so memorable for Soarin'. You get Patrick Warburton telling you you can be released, so everyone starts pushing the button then the belt is released. I love it, too.MmeLeota wrote:You used to also kinda hear it on Star Tours.
