Disney "Sounds"
Did a search so if there is a thread about this already let me know.
So there is a "Disney Smells" thread. I figured I would start one about the sounds you hear at Disney (Disneyland, WDW, Paris, etc.) that are your favorite (besides the music...). From the bells on the trolleys going down Main Street to the Star Tours tone (if that is what you call it), there has to at least be one that tells you "you're at Disney."

We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

The whistle on the Walt Disney World Railroad is probably one of my favorite sounds...but I've always really liked the gurgle of the water against the sides of the boats that transport guests around Bay Lake.

There are so many great sounds from the parks. The train whistle is one of the greatest sounds to hear when walking into the MK. However, there are many more amazing sounds:
1. The sound of the monorail passing by overhead as you enter MK or walk around Epcot.
2. The sound the teacups make when the wheels lock and you come to a stop.

I agree Len, the monorail sound does it for me.
This might sound silly, but the buses do it for me too. Mostly b/c when I get home from a trip to WDW and I hear the T buses in Boston it takes me back to waiting for the bus at the hotel! Minus the other cars honking and drivers yelling at each other of course...

The monorail gliding overhead in Epcot, the train whistles from the WDW Railroad, and the boat whistle from the Liberty Belle in Frontierland.

The train whistle at MK... The fireworks popping sound that you hear in the distance of your hotel (if you left early)... The noise coming from the Speedway in MK... The howling wolf outside of the Haunted Mansion... People screaming at the drop of Splash Mountain... man, you guys got me started again!
Len90 - The teacups is one I never thought of but is perfect. It's funny how many sounds you hear but never really think about.

Wow I can't believe I forgot about the buses. The most depressing part about that is my college uses Nova LF's, just like some of the Disney Transport Buses.kcarts wrote: This might sound silly, but the buses do it for me too. I love hearing the sound of the background music as you enter EPCOT. It really sets the stage for a great time.

I love hearing the waterfalls at the Polynesian! I also love all the happy people noises - squealing, laughing, singing, screaming on roller coasters, cheering, etc. It's great to hear everyone so happy.
Can't wait to take my twin boys on their first trip to Walt Disney World! Planning on heading there sometime Feb-May 2014!
