You can't beat that weather though ~ all that sun, none of the snow and ice!Jacca5660 wrote:The only thing wrong with DLR is it's in Southern California!! Been there done that and don't really want to do it again!

I agree with Amy, you can't beat the weather. No oppressive humidity or drenching afternoon thunderstorms like Florida...

It was all still up last year on the 9th when my dad and I went before I started my college program. At WDW, that is. I have a picture for proof!mindflipper wrote:A castmember had told me DL went through January 6th as many guests who celebrated Dia de Reyes (Day of the Magi), the hispanic equivalent to Christmas. Re: Disneyland or Disney World
I just looked at WDW's schedule and I'm not sure about, but if it has wishes scheduled already and the final date of holiday wishes is the 18th.
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/ ... y=20111218 (if you look afterwards it's just regular).
That being said it also may be a coding/entry error since it keeps flopping back and forth between "Wishes" and "Holiday Wishes". Your best bet is to call them to find out when the shows end.
Also, is there no holiday parade (not the tv one but the regular one), there wasn't one listed.

I can tell you they will likely have Holiday Wishes through Christmas- we watched it the night after Christmas in 2008.Wizzard419 wrote:I just looked at WDW's schedule and I'm not sure about, but if it has wishes scheduled already and the final date of holiday wishes is the 18th.

I seem to be in the majority. Never been to Disney Land. Only multiple times to WDW. I am afraid that i would be a little disappointed at DL.

You may think that, but when (and if) you do actually go, you will be quite surprised. Compared to WDW, it's amazing how much they can pack into a small package.Goofyfan wrote:I seem to be in the majority. Never been to Disney Land. Only multiple times to WDW. I agree. And there are some very fun rides that are only over at DL, too (like the Matterhorn and Indiana Jones).mindflipper wrote:You may think that, but when (and if) you do actually go, you will be quite surprised. That's my fear but I doubt I'd end up feeling that way in the end... knowing Walt walked that park will make up for the fact it is so much smaller.Goofyfan wrote:I seem to be in the majority. Re: Disneyland or Disney World
Hubby only knew WDW until I took him to DL for the first time. His initial reaction was "where's the castle???" and he felt it was so cramped. However, after walking around and actually paying attention to some of the details and realizing that this was the park where it all began, his mind changed. We eventually became APers and found ourselves there as often as possible. There's something to be said about the magic you feel when you walk through the gate...it's as if you feel Walt's presence throughout the park. It's a very different feel from WDW...especially for those who are true Disney fans.Soarin08 wrote:That's my fear but I doubt I'd end up feeling that way in the end... knowing Walt walked that park will make up for the fact it is so much smaller.Goofyfan wrote:I seem to be in the majority.
