Post it anyway...it may be the same subject, but it's still a totally different photo.Mousekedude wrote:Nice shot of the fountain at Epcot, I.C. I'm a little jealous because I have one just like it that I was going to post, but you beat me to it!
Here's one from inside Mexico...hey it's always night in there so I think it still counts.....

No, we didn't get to see it this time. We were too much in a hurry to get to our other scheduled events. For example, that particular picture was taken while we were at the Dessert Party (stay tuned to the trip report for details on that... )Mindflipper wrote:Did you both stay to watch Spectromagic during your stay?
I just played with my camera until I found just the right settings. Interestingly, we have three cameras that have the "fireworks" setting, but we never use that. They don't come out as well as when we just set everything up manually. As far as getting just the right shot, it's all about the timing. One trick I use is to watch the little dot of light shooting up that marks the path of the "missile", and I anticipate when it will actually explode, and that's when I click the shutter. Of course, that only works on the ones that go high enough that you can see them ascending. The rest is just patience and good instincts, I guess.Boilerbabe wrote:How do you get the firework shots M-dude????

Okay!
I also have one just like yours from inside the Mexico Pavilion. The only thing I don't like about this shot is that I was using a pillar as a tripod and didn't push the camera far enough forward, so the bottom half of the picture is the pillar (grumble, grumble)
