I just wonder what they are going to put into the theater once Captain EO ends it's run...momeja wrote:Perhaps his death provided good timing for Disney to make the change. They said at the start that this was a placeholder while they work on the next movie (possibly different attraction but still a 3D movie based one).

I'm hoping for something original and not movie-based for a change

Given that Nemo went into the Living Seas, the Lion King into the Land, Mission to Mars movie into Mission: Space, and the Three Caballeros into Mexico, the odds are more likely that whatever does go into the Imaginations 3D Theatre will probably be movie related...Amy wrote:I'm hoping for something original and not movie-based for a change

Wait... what? Mission to Mars was partially inspired by the old disney attraction and the only tie to the movie was that they have Gary Sinise in them.
Re: The return of Captain EO
TAKE IT BACK, they're already polluting DAK with that crap, it'd best not infiltrate Epcot. I'd just rather see EO remain over some Avatar junk.mindflipper wrote:Hmmmmmmm, given what's going into DAK in a few years from now....how about AVATAR 3D?

Re: The return of Captain EO
Lets hope they stop doing show attractions (as in 3D movies vs rides) they are almost universally short lived in interest.
Re: The return of Captain EO
Is there any word on how long Captain EO will be there?

Re: The return of Captain EO
I like having a few shows to break up the day of line hopping...plus having an indoor place in the summer to catch some A/C and take a load off the old dogs for a while is always welcome!
I agree with Amy about having something original rather than something with a movie tie-in, but unfortunately, I don't see that happening.

The one thing I hate about the show areas is that usually the waiting area is devoid of seating (short of sitting on the ground) so if you want to rest your feet you may have to wait 20 mins on them to sit for a show.

But at least waiting 20 minutes for a 20 minute break on your keister is better than waiting 20 minutes for a 2 minute break for an attraction.Wizzard419 wrote:The one thing I hate about the show areas is that usually the waiting area is devoid of seating (short of sitting on the ground) so if you want to rest your feet you may have to wait 20 mins on them to sit for a show.

I Wonder if it will be Cars related since Cars 2 just came out. I was not a big EO fan.
