I agree--I love the old/current version, but it sure needs a "freshening up."
I can't wait!

I got tired of Captain EO long before it closed so now it's just another reason to walk by the imagination pavilion at Epcot... Meh.

I agree!!! All they've done is given me another reason to be more disappointed with the state of that pavilion!

I think I could easily pass this by on our next trip (if it's still there that is). I think Disney can do better than this!

Although I agree they can do better (much, much better), I think I'll take the kids once just 'cause I'm curious about it. Then I can really rant.

I would have to go see it again just out of curiosity. I was very little when I first/last saw it so I really don't remember the show at all...

Then go into it remembering that this was made in the '80s...heavens knows it's cheesy as all get out and will probably make you say "holy crap on a stick"! (in a bad way)

I'm trying to remain optimistic that Disney will hold true to their word and this will be temporary. After all, they already said it would close in DL in the fall.

One can hope, right?

LOL MmeLeota.

I'm excited that Captain EO is returning though, and just wish I had a way to get down there and see it on the big screen again!

I don't know if they will do it differently than they did in DLW but I hope to hear from those going to see it.

I'll make sure to report in with my findings. We are hoping that they will do soft openings of it in the days prior to the official opening on July 2. I guess the major work is complete. It will feel awkward not being able to hear the Imagination Institute theme song this year.

It's still different though I haven't really spent enough time in Disneyland in a long while. I know I used to hear the Kodak commercials whenever I'd eat in the outside area of Pizza Port.

You know, that was the one thing that I really enjoyed about HISTA. The theme song. :)
