Yep! We helped a local thrift store sort through their donations, and we had a blast! Also, while sorting through the items that were donated there were some items that were still in useable condition but would not currently sell and since there was no space for storage, those items were donated to Haiti.

It felt like we were helping out 2 causes at once!

I didn't realize that I had to go on the same day when I redeem my ticket so I may donate it if I don't give it to my friend whenever she visits from Texas.

So, did anyone that completed the volunteer work actually get to either Disney park to use their free day? I'm curious since the volunteering opportunities here were few and far between and filled up so quickly. That was pretty amazing that Disney got such a huge response. Hopefully the people that volunteered will continue :D

I still have yet to use mine. I have until December to redeem it and it's been sitting in my inbox but I hope to use it soon.

That's great ~ I didn't know you had that long to use them!

I think they're good for the entire year, at least until the date they listed. It's good that it's not limited to a certain amount of time.

We used ours in July and upgraded them from 1 day 1 park passes to 2-day park hoppers.

Did you get the volunteer button after redeeming them?

Did you just have to pay the difference in ticket price? I wonder how many people actually used just the one day pass and how many actually upgraded like you?!

Yep! It felt nice having a button for a change (usually hubby gets it because we go for his birthday...I've yet to go for mine)

Yep. Just paid the difference in price. We really wanted to get our APs since we each had a "free" $72 toward them. But since all things happen for a reason, it's a good thing we weren't able to. It turns out we would have missed out on half the year.

I honestly wonder and hope that they will do this again next year. I really think it was a nice little promotion and could be something to keep drawing people to the parks.

I hope so because with prices going up, it may deter people from wanting to go to the parks.

I wonder if they will do it again since they ended the promotion so quickly this time. I don't think they had any idea of how big a response they would get. I wish there was some way to find out how many people actually redeemed their ticket, or how many people upgraded. I doubt Disney would release those figures.
