Those two areas seem to roll over quite a bit with whatever Disney is trying to sell at the time. Now it would seem that something from Marvel would slide right in there so that they can capitalize on the new acquisition.
It is possible, but the Monster's Inc is still relatively new and Buzz is drawing pretty big crowds even though it has quieted down a bit. The wait time is easily 30-40 minutes.

I don't think they'll be changing Buzz anytime soon.

I found these images at http://www.worth1000.com/contest.asp?co ... =1#entries

I guess they're running some kind of contest for most improbable Disney/Marvel hybrid. Some people are amazing Photoshop pros!

This is my favorite by far -

I agree that this won't too drastically impact Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. If you notice that section of the park with the Marvel Superheroes, it is a generic area that could be easily re-branded. I'm betting Universal Studios has already started to draft up several ideas. Look at the rides. Other than Spiderman, all the rides are pretty generic. Spiderman could just have another 3D ride action movie developed and put in its place. Like they did with the Simpsons replacing BTTF. Like they did with Shrek replacing Hitchcock. Like they did when they replaced Hanna & Barbera with Jimmy Nuetron. The parks have been used to replacing rides again and again, and I don't think it will be hard for Universal to do it again with Marvel Superheroes. The bigger question is: what will Disney do with the Marvel Superheroes at the themeparks? Doesn't fit EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, or Animal Kingdom - make it part of the studios or a whole new themepark?

Side-note: The Fantastic 4 pic above would have been much better if they had a background color that wasn't black. It entirely kills the Mr. Fantastic/Mickey effect as he blends in the background. You just see his head, his hand, and his lower body. I get that he's twisting around Goofy/Human(?)torch but you lose it in the background. I thought he was supposed to be The Invisible Woman as a disembodied head when I first looked.

I think he said he found them (in between the two pics) on a website that was holding some kind of contest.

I'm kinda nervous about Disney working with Marvel =/ It will be really interesting if they try to stick Marvel into a park. I really hope they don't do this. And that SpiderMouse made me laugh  ......in a good way :)

Well, looks like they're adding Marvel things into the park already. Here's a look inside one of the Main Street stores - they're selling Marvel costumes, which seems out of place in Main Street. I'd see it better in Tomorrowland.

I was in the parks recently...and right now it's just merchandising that has changed. I'm not really sure how they could do much else right now.
