What Disney Ride or Show WOW'd You The First Time?
What ride or show were you really impressed with first time you went on it :?:
I was really impressed with the Cinemagique show in Disneyland Paris cos it was so innovative (I don't know why this show hasn't made it to the US parks?)
Or the first time I went on Kilimanjaro safaris I was amazed - it was like I was in africa.
Or pirates - it always amazes me especially since they added the davy jones/jack sparrow elements

Honestly, it all gives me that WOW factor when I see it for the first time on the vacation. However, there are a few attractions that really overwhelmed me. I would agree with Haunted Mansion and Pirates and would add Soarin' to my list. It is just so fascinating to be able to be in the air with your feet dangling and taking in the many smells that the attraction has to offer.

As a 15 year old in 1975, my first time on Space Mountain was a true wow experience!! I grew up in Coney Island and was a true roller coaster veteran. I didn't know they could build a coaster indoors. It was an unbelievable experience!

Shhhhh... I've never been on Soarin yet! This trip I plan to ride it. I guess I have always been afraid since those large omnimax screens make me sick. I'm determined this time to ride it!
I would say that seeing Wishes for the first time wowed me with the music and fireworks together.
Just 2 months and 1 day to go! 62 days!

For me, I'd have to say Magic Kingdom impresses me the most it give me that WOW feeling (don't get me wrong, all of WDW does that to me) just MK stands out most in my mind! I remember being there when I was a child. I have so many happy memories there.
The ride that impresses me the most would be ToT! But, I think for the very first time, as a child, it would've been Dumbo! At age 3, it didn't get any better than that!

I have to say that 2 things WOW'd me at Disney. One was the MNSSHP, the first time I went to MNSSHP I had to step back and go "WOW, this is really cool" I loved how all out that Disney went on it. Everything from the lit buildings to the fog everywhere and the unique lighting in all the nooks and crannies.
The second time I was WOW'd was the first time I saw Remember...Dreams come true Fireworks Spectacular. That show was the best and I will be sad the next time I go and it isn't there. I still get teary eyed when I hear the audio.

First time walking into Epcot each trip does that to me, especially the first time after they took the wand away again. First time walking into MK too, though that's been diminished by the "security" set up so it's not as effective anymore.
I can't remember my first ride on most of the attractions at WDW but one thing I can think of recently that wow'd me was seeing the Headless Horseman last year at the Halloween party. That was cool.

Soarin' blew me away when we first rode it. Also, IllumiNations did as well. Believe it or not, I didn't see IllumiNations until a school field trip in 8th grade. After I saw it, it's all I talked about for days. Now, I know the finale so well that I think it's more fun to watch the expression on everyone's face behind me than to watch the show!
