What Disney Ride or Show WOW'd You The First Time?

I can remember 3 off the top of my head...

1) Rock n Rollercoaster - that first time was intense!! From initial take off and throughout the entire ride was nothing like I've ever done before - it was the first of it's kind with that kind of start.

2) Splash Mountain - it was obviously just a flume ride from the outside but when we went inside for the first time I was amazed how much theming they did. No way I thought they could fit all of that inside that building.

3) Mickey's Philharmagic - To this day that attraction still amazes me. Has the best 3-D effects, plus the added 4th D of smells/effects to give that extra Disney magic.

1) Soarin' really impressed me when I went on it the first time at DL. Since Disneyland is a 6 hour flight for me, I don't go there nearly as often as WDW. At that time, I was really disappointed that WDW didn't have that ride. Everything from the animation, ride, and smells blew me away.

2) Philarmagic- I was impressed with how the imagineers incorporated almost every major Disney animated movie in one attraction.

3)Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin- I loved how interactive the ride was

4)) Toy Story Mania- This brings everything to a new level- 3D, cool games, and great ride

5) Spectromagic- I couldn't believe how many lights Disney could put on one float

I was only 15 years old on my first (and only) trip to Disneyland. Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Carribean blew me away. I remember coming home, telling my friend "they had real-looking ghosts dancing." The stretching room impressed me, too.

The Aladdin show @ California Adventure (AMAZING choreography and Genie is hilarious!), Tower of Terror (the one at WDW is better btw), Peter Pan's flight (I LOVE Peter Pan), and Space Mountain (because I was 5 and my dad forced me to go on...and I cried).

Wow reading through this, I didn't realize I left out so many things.

The first time I saw Wishes I was just mesmerized. I was just fascinated by the 180 degrees of fireworks.
Philharmagic: It still can almost bring me to tears and I have seen it sooooo many times. I remember that in our first visit after it opened, we must have seen it 3-4 times. The Lion King scene and Aladdin scenes really just make me speechless.
Finally, SpectroMagic, just seeing the parade blew me away. Then seeing the characters all lit up made me stop and say wow.

There is just so much that you can so easily forget all that made you stop so you can soak it up.

Captain EO was probably the coolest thing I had ever seen when I saw it for the first time. I was only 4 years old and I thought I could reach out and grab those meteors!
Ariel reaching out during Philharmagic still gives me chills.
Soarin' definitely lived up to the hype when I rode it for the first time...actually every time. Just make sure you are on the front row of section B.

for me it was walking into/around EPCOT when i was little for the first time. And I still get that same feeling everytime I walk in EPCOT

A real WOW was the first time my oldest son saw the main entrance to WDW. He got so excited I had to remind him that we weren't to the hotel yet. He got so excited I was worried he was gonna pass out! He almost couldn't breath and was shaking. We were laughing so hard we had tears. That was one of those trips we were going be there for a week and ended being there for 11 days. The only reason we didn't stay longer was because of g** days and problems getting a decent room.

It's a little off topic, but the first time we took the boys to the American Museum of Natural History in New York, my youngest son almost lost it in the lobby. They have some very large Dinos there and he didn't want to leave until we told him that they had a whole floor of dinos. We spent 5 hours with the dinos, he had to read about everyone of them. Now those are WOW memories.

WDW in general wowd me but for the first time I rode pirates and haunted mansion as a kid was great! The rides now that wowd me were rock ans roll roller coaster and everest!

The first time I saw Fantasmic it blew me away. And Star Tours when it first came out, that was incredible.
