Favorite Resort Lobby

Post by kcarts » Jan Sat 17, 2009 10:25 am

What's your pleasure? For me it's the Polynesian. The atmosphere with the waterfall and plants and then the music. I always make a point to take a walk over there. Wilderness Lodge would be a very close second.

Anyone else?

Hmm.. Well for hotels I have stayed in, it would be the Wilderness Cabins. I love the whole log cabin/out in the wild feel of it!!

Otherwise, I would agree with the Polynesian, or even the Yacht Club.

So far the Grand Californian has been a lobby I liked a lot. It has such a relaxing atmosphere and I stayed there for some time to unwind and gather up energy before dinner.

For a lil awe, I like the WL! wow
If you can count the fourth floor of the CR, then it gets some cred.

I am a huge fan of the Wilderness Lodge's lobby. I really like the 7 story ceiling and the wooden sculptures that adorn the sides. Also, it has the Whispering Canyon restaurant which adds some noise and excitement to the lobby.

I'm sure everyone will be surprised by my answer! The Poly wins my vote! All the lush plants, the smells.....if I could only go there right now! :D

For me, you just can't beat the Wilderness Lodge. Even after 20-25 stays there it still has that "wow" factor everytime I walk through the front doors.

I really like both the Poly and Wilderness Lodge lobbies to hang out in. I also love the Boardwalk lobby. I love being able to go sit on the huge porch at twilight and watch the boardwalk come alive. I wish I was there right now... :D

Even though I already made my choices above, Spodie made a good point. The last time I went we stayed at the Beach Club, and they have that great boardwalk to the back of Epcot.
I had such a great time walking to Epcot in the morning, enjoying a light, comfortable breeze, and then when I walked back at night, while the sun was setting over the lake, it was so pretty.
Unless some miracle happens I will never stay there again, but the memories will stay on that boardwalk forever.

They AKL has a great lobby and unlike the others you can see live animals from it.

The Grand Floridian and the Wilderness Lodge are my favorites...although I've never been lucky enough to stay there just yet!

Hmm, the Poly is by far my favorite lobby to be in but Spodie reminded me of the 2nd story porch at the Boardwalk that overlooks Crescent Lake and the Yacht and Beach Club. Might not count as a "lobby" but a pretty darn nice place to relax with an incredible view.

That is something I often forget about, but that is in part that those rocking chairs are always filled...especially at night. They really are a great way to relax after a looooong day in the park.

Wilderness Lodge hands down. It is absolutely gorgeous the moment you walk inside. The atmosphere of the building, the sound, the people, the view, It is just amazing.
