Just wondering....which is your favorite? MNSSHP OR MVMCP? And why?

My DH and I always go back and forth over this one. It's so hard to decide. But in the end, we choose MVMCP. We just LOVE the parade, decorations, cookies/hot chocolate, fireworks and the snow on Main St. It's all so magical, it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

personally, I've only ever done MVMCP. I'm not big into Halloween (except the free candy, of course), so MNSSHP isn't really for me. I'm more into the holidays anyways. The free hot chocolate/cookies were a great touch, except for the slightly over date apples that is...

Can't beat Christmas, add Disney and hot chocolate and it is perfect.

Done the Halloween party twice (maybe thrice, but doubt it) ... to be honest, I think it's actually slightly more enjoyable as an adult than as a kid, the costumes generally rule, and the atmosphere rocks. Though, a bit more touch up a la any of Cedar Fair's events could also help. If you do go there, though, DEFINITELY hit Jungle Cruise, every time we did the skippers tailored their jokes towards the costumes.
Never been in Florida during December, so I have no idea on the Christmas festivities.

I sadly have never been to either of them. I'd love LOVE love to go to both someday! When my son gets older I want to take him during Christmas just to see the decorations and not focus so much on the rides.

For those of you that have never been able to experience either party, if you do have the opportunity, please go! They do cost extra $$$ but I think it's well worth it! MNSSHP is fun b/c you can go trick or treating throughout MK, but something about snow on Main St., hot chocolate and cookies!!! MMMMMM! :D When we go to WDW in a few weeks, MVMCP will just have started, so my DH and I are going to go! We've never seen the castle covered in "ice" so we're very excited!!!!

when we went in December 2006, they didn't have the ice lights yet. I hope to get down there next year (depending on how my stocks do and how much money I have at the time) and hope to see the lights...

oh, I've seen pics of them, seen video, and saw the Travel Channel special where they unveiled them. I really want to see them up close and in person rather than on a TV/computer screen...

but I'm always up for more pics to use as desktop backgrounds. so, I'd love to see what you bring back... :D

I haven't been to either....yet. We have tickets for MVMCP on December 16 and I can't wait!

And for those of you wondering what MNSSHP and MVMCP are like, you can go on allears.net and read reviews, descriptions, and find pretty much everything you could possibly imagine about these (and other) events at WDW. I stumbled upon it when I was looking for the restaurant menus and had a lot of fun reading up on these events!

I had to go with MNSSHP, I've seen my boys grow up with the pictures we've taken during it. Also free candy!

Having been to both now (yay!), I had to vote MNSSHP. I think I just enjoyed the theme more and the parade is excellent. And that's saying something for me because I can't stand parades. But I actually stood around and staked out a place to watch this one. The Headless Horseman charging down Main Street was -awesome-.

And as Jacca says - free candy!
