DVC members & the new Bay Lake Tower

Just wondering how many DVC members here decided to add on at the new Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary? We added on & I can't WAIT to stay there after it opens. I know the theming & style may not excite everyone but it's something DH and I will absolutely love.

Thoughts about the new tower?

Plan on going to Disney when it's shut down to get in I bet. That 7 mos. booking window is going to be like Elvis tickets going on sale through Ticketmaster when they thaw him out...

Our family owns at Boardwalk, and we can't get in there inside the 7 month window. I love DVC, but man, taking a last minute trip is painful sometimes.

OK, so I am new as a DVC Member. Just closed on AKL Villa at the end of last month. Just missed out on the opportunity to buy into Bay Towers, but hey, at least I am in and a member.

As for booking BLT, I do agree that it is probably going to be difficult. It may be several years before it cools down enough...but I still have many other properties to check out in the mean time.

If I didn't have two boys in Daycare, I could have bought hundreds of points cash money but until they get a job to pay for their own daycare or go to school, I am stuck with no cashflow.

I want to so bad I can taste Monorail Purple. Except My wife doesn't like it, so since we have to agree on these things, I don't get to.

But she is willing to add on points elsewhere, so that is a bonus.

We added 50 pts for BLT, not much but it's a nice start. The annual dues are cheaper than for AKL (our other home resort).

We joined DVC with a buy-in at BLT. Hoping to stay in December, but we'll see (especially with the free ticket and cheap 4 other tickets for military members this year! hooah!)
