Big Disney announcement on 18 September

man... I wish I only read about this on sept 17th, so I wouldn't have to wait so long to find out what it is!

My guess is it's not something that will concern me, as we are just typical guests when we go. We only go to wdw, not any other park in any other part of the world. We only go 7 days, and we stay at the pop centruy. That's about all we can afford... unless it's concerning new rides, or new park in florida, then I probably won't care... but nontheless, I still can't wait to find out what it is!

I hope there's more to the announcement than that. I guess it wouldn't surprise me if there wasn't but man... by itself, that's a pretty lame announcement to make a big to do out of.

I've also heard rumors about a DVC store opening up in NYC, and I've also heard rumors about the Contemporary Resort villas going up for sale in October...

9/25 in Minneapolis???!!! This is super exciting! I can't wait till the 18th to find out what's coming our way and where it will be located. I have to work that day, but I can be 'sick' if need be!

Laugh wouldn't it be funny if the big announcement was the opening of the Contemporary Tower DVC! Rooms for Sale! like its been a big secret! oh that would be hilarious!

It would fit right in with Eisner-esque ideals. Create a bunch of hype for another money laundering scheme...I mean another way for people to enjoy the magic and dream of Disney. Or what if they are announcing next year's "Celebration," Wouldn't that be a kicker?

I hope it's the tour! According to the dates, they would be in Atlanta on a Friday! I will totally be skipping school that day if that's the case...

They actually announced this today, along with the Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs Resort for DVC.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla.(Sept. 16, 2008) â€“ Two highly anticipated resort developments announced today will expand the Walt Disney World experience and continue the rapid growth of Disney Vacation Club, Disneyâ€™s innovative vacation-ownership program:

the 15-story Bay Lake Tower at Disneyâ€™s Contemporary Resort is scheduled to join the Disney Vacation Club family of properties in fall 2009, while

the Treehouse Villas at Disneyâ€™s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, scheduled to open in summer 2009, will become the next room category offered at that resort.

Are you referring to todays announcement? If so, there is a press conference at 12:00 PM, eastern time.
