Yes, the Space Mountains in Florida and California are different. The Florida version is unique. The Anaheim, Tokyo, and Hong Kong versions are pretty much the same. The Paris version is also different from all the rest.boilerbabe wrote:Unfortunately, I've never had the chance to visit Disneyland. So I cannot compare the two. Are they that different?!
Disneyland's hands down. It's got music, new effects, and a whole new track (very smooth but same exact layour). Plus, I used to work on DLR's. I LOVE SM. It's my favorite ride in all the lands and all the parks.

I have ridden the WDW version many more times since WDW is closer to me...but I will say that I rode the DLR SM 3 times when I went there. It's honestly the best ride there at DLR. Being smoother and the fact that it has music makes it better in my opinion. I love both rides, but the one at DLR is better. Plus it's pretty much the only awesome thing in Tomorrowland there that is fun every single time.

Without a doubt, Disneyland's. The queue has been thoroughly updated to where it has a futuristic look to it, whereas WDW's always seemed outdated to me. Also, the Michael Giacchino score gets your heart pumping. And finally, there's the new spinning lift hill tunnel effect at DL's.
