Favorite Resort Restaurant?

Post by kcarts » May Wed 14, 2008 4:02 pm

So many to choose from, I know.... I might be a bit biased since I stay at the Boardwalk almost every time I visit. My choice is actually at the Beach Club Resort, Cape May Cafe. I love the clambake! Although not as good as a New England clambake, it's very good. A close second is ESPN Club. I find it to be a great way to end the day with a beer, some food and keeping up w/ my Boston teams.....

Anyone else......

Wilderness Lodge. Reminds me of home with better food!

Boma in the AKL. The food is amazing, especially the soups! It's one of the cheaper buffets in WDW and everything from the ambiance to the waiters/waitresses and food is awesome!!!!

Ohana in the Polynesian is also delicious and great for nightime Wishes across the lake.

This is really a tough question so I'm going to list my favorites by a few resorts. :P

AKL - Boma
WL - Artist Point
Contemporary - California Grill
Yacht Club - Yachtsman
Beach Club - Beaches & Cream 8-)
Polynesian - 'Ohana
Grand Floridian - Citricos

If I could only pick one? Boma!

Cali Grill and Jikos. Although Victoria & Alberts was awesome, but in a league of its own.

I'm another vote for Boma! I LOVE the desserts, especially the zebra & tiger domes! My 'runner up' would be Kona Cafe, Turf Club, and Trail's End in Fort Wilderness.

If I can speak for Disneyland; my favorite resort restaurants there are Goofy's Kitchen in the DL Hotel & Storyteller's in the Grand. [we're eating at Napa Rose fr the first time next month so my mind might change. :D]

I had to go with Whispering Canyon Cafe at the WL. The food reminds me of home and of course, you can't beat the service/entertainment.

Hmmm tough one. I'd have to say Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian for more formal dining. Can't wait to get back there. Yum. :9 My favorite buffet is Trail's End at Fort Wilderness. Can't wait to get back there either.

I haven't eaten in enough WDW restaurants to form a valid opinion :(
That'll all change in September when we eat in 15 TS venues :D
1980, 2000, 2005 and 2008 all had plenty of magic. Hoping for a bit more in 2010.

For me:

BW: Spoodles... it's an icon there
Yacht/Beach: Cape May Cafe
Polynesian: O'Hana
WL: Whispering Canyon, nothing wakes you up better than breakfast here.
Contemporary: Chef Mickey.

For me, it's Whispering Canyon hands down. I also like Oliva's Cafe at OKW , Kona Cafe at POLY, and Maya Grill at CS. Artist Point is good at WL, but a little overrated in my opinion.

While we haven't experienced a great many resort-restaurants, we really enjoyed our Easter breakfast at Boma this year. Our favorite on-site resort restaurant is the Peppper Market at CSR. (CSR is also our favorite resort that we've stayed at).
