I have never been to WDW so I can't really say which restaurants I would like, however, since I go to DL, my 2 favorite restaurants are the Blue Bayou for the atmosphere and ambience and Carnation Cafe on Main Street for the food espcially breakfast, and it's nice to sit there watch the people walking down Main Street. Wow, thinking about this makes me hungry.

First off, I think this probably should be moved to the WDW board....
To answer, however, first is Ohana, particularly (as has been mentioned) for Wishes. Go figure. But, the food is AMAZING there. Close second is a Fort Wilderness one ... no, not Trail's End, but Crockett's Tavern. Mostly because it's the best part of Trail's End (the pizza) and it's cheaper. We've been in the Tavern for the Super Bowl at LEAST four or five times ... generally rooting for the Patriots. (Well, the rest of the family was ... I only watch for the commercials.) Go figure again. Gotta say though, haven't exactly done too many different resort restaurants. I'd be interested in also finding out where in the parks people eat, I'll look for that topic now.

this is in the general forum as there are posts for Disneyland, not JUST WDW. there are just alot more posts for WDW, as there are alot more restaurants in WDW than DLR.

Oh, sorry, I only noticed one or two on DL, and I thought "resort" meant at the hotels. I could ramble if the parks count too....

Wow, what an awesome thread!

Food at Disney. Here's my list for best resort restaurants:

WL: Whispering Canyon Cafe
GF: Narcoossee's
Polynesian: (tie) Kona Cafe, Ohana
Coronado Springs: Maya Grill
Yacht Club: Yachtman's Steakhouse
Beach Club: Beaches and Cream

MMmmmmmm, yuuummmmmmeeeee!
Are we there yet? When can we go back?

I don't know what's worse, the anticipation of going or the withdrawals after getting home.

How about Boma for breakfast, the Trails End for lunch and O'hana for dinner.

We had a really great meal at Shutters in the CBR in 2007. This summer I would say our best resort meal was 1900 Park Fare. My 7 year old son had a blast with the characters!

If I gotta pick one I think I will go with Whispering Canyon at WL. Excellent entertainment and themeing good food and you can get the all-you-can-eat skillet!

I would have to say California Grill at the Contemporary. I'm a picky eater, so it's not so much for the food as it is for the view. That view is amazing.

My son asked for Ketchup and my mom got the "large" drink! We had so much fun there too! My son wants to go back there again for our next trip.

You think you had it bad, I got the "large" soda AND had to ride the stick horse! The worst part I ended up needing the bathroom around 3/4 of the way through the soda. I think if we go back this summer I will volunteer to ride in the lobby!

I will categorize:
Entertainment: Whispering Canyon
Characters: Cape May
Food: Kona
Atmosphere: California Grill

kcarts wrote:So many to choose from, I know.... I might be a bit biased since I stay at the Boardwalk almost every time I visit. My choice is actually at the Beach Club Resort, Cape May Cafe. I love the clambake! Although not as good as a New England clambake, it's very good. A close second is ESPN Club. I find it to be a great way to end the day with a beer, some food and keeping up w/ my Boston teams.....

Anyone else......
I'd have to say these are a couple of my favorites also. I kinda like most of the places on the Boardwalk. Big River is also a favorite of mine, but the original one is here in Chattanooga and they give me a free beer every time I have my Disney Boardwalk Big River shirt on. It has paid for it's self a few times now.

I also love Fulton's.
