Had a great time! Castaway Cay is amazing and DCL is a superior cruise line! 8-) Wish I was still there - reality bites today.

Glad you had a great time. DCL is the best! We will be leaving on the Wonder on June 8 for 4 nights with 2 stops at Castaway Cay. Looking forward to seeing the new Toy Story show.

I've been on the Wonder before, and it was one of the greatest vacations I've had! :mickey:

The Toy Story show was good, not the best ever, but enjoyable. Pictures are still on my camera - but I took over 1000!

My understanding is that the Toy Story has taken the place of the Hercules show which was my favorite of the 3 shows.
Would love to see some of the pixs when you get them posted.

I'm glad you had a great time! We do need pics as soon as you can though. I think Disney made a very wise investment when they acquired Castaway Cay and decided to go into the Cruise Line business. I haven't heard a complaint yet.

Glad you had a great time. Now I have to beg for advice for everyone...

We've actually been considering a cruise for our next Disney vacation, but haven't really been on a true cruise before. Is it worth skipping the parks to hit the cruise lines?

Absolutey it's worth skipping the resort for a DCL trip. But better yet, look into a 3 day/4night land/sea package where you get the best of both.

Yes, it is. We've done several 7-nighters on the Magic as well as 4-nighters on the Wonder.

If you are not comfortable committing to a 7-night you should try the 4-nighter. You don't get a true feel with the 3-nighter because no sooner than you finally are on the ship than you have to leave!

Have you considered flying down on a Saturday night to do the 4-night Wonder cruise and upon return doing the World for the rest of the week flying home the following Saturday or Sunday? We've done this with great success. We don't bother with DCL's land & sea package proper as it's cheaper to book separately.

We did a cruise (nondisney) for our honeymoon, and loved it. I couldn't imagine a better cruise.

Everyone who has taken a Disney cruise has nothing but great things to say about it.

AKLRULZ, I wish you were there too! I remember my cruise and still would love to be there. And that was 20 years ago!

My wife and I have been considering a Disney cruise for our vacation, hearing the details I think we might be even closer to doing it.

Totally true. We tried to book a 4 night cruise, but it was full so we had to do the 3 night and it was amazing, but waaaay too short. At least we got 5 days in at WDW before heading on the ship so it was a nice vacation overall, but I would have rather done a longer cruise and a shorter stay in the parks.

The thing that I liked most about the cruise was that I always felt as though I had my space without having to share it with a million crazy people (like at WDW). The mood was really layed back and, even though the ship was full (or really close to it), it didn't feel like there were people EVERYWHERE. Basically, this is definatley the vacation to take if you want all of the magic of Disney while being able to kick back and enjoy your vacation (and be waited on hand and foot  ).
